How many accounts can I have and do Benchmarks combine across accounts?

Learn how account limits work, whether traders can hold multiple accounts, and whether Benchmarks can be combined across accounts.

Updated this week

Overview

Traders may hold a maximum of 5 active accounts per asset class. This limit applies separately to Futures and Stocks, meaning a trader may hold:

  • up to 5 active Futures accounts

  • up to 5 active Stock accounts

Both Intraday Drawdown and End-of-Day Drawdown accounts count toward the same asset class limit.

Example

A trader could hold the following within the 5-account Stock limit:

  • 2 Intraday Drawdown Stock accounts

  • 3 End-of-Day Drawdown Stock accounts

Total: 5 active Stock accounts

At the same time, the trader could also hold up to 5 Futures accounts.

Do Benchmarks combine across multiple accounts?

No. Benchmarks do not combine across multiple accounts.
Each account must independently complete its required Benchmarks to qualify for program progression.

Example

If a trader achieves:

  • 2 Benchmarks on Account A

  • 3 Benchmarks on Account B

Those Benchmarks cannot be combined. Each account progresses independently.

Note: Benchmarks are designed to measure consistent trading performance on a single account, which is why they must be completed individually rather than across multiple accounts.
