Do you have an Inactivity Policy?

Explains how the PropShopTrader inactivity rule works, what counts as activity, and how to keep your account active.

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Overview

  • PropShopTrader requires traders to remain active on their accounts. If there is no trading activity for 30 consecutive days, the profile will be marked as inactive and automatically cancelled.

  • This policy applies at the user profile level, not per individual account.

  • As long as any one of your accounts shows activity within 30 days, your entire profile remains active.

What Counts as Activity

To remain active, you must:

  • Log in to your Rithmic trading account, and

  • Execute at least one trade within a 30-day period

This trade can occur on any account under your profile.

What Happens if You Are Inactive

If no activity occurs for 30 consecutive days:

  • Your profile is marked Inactive

  • All accounts under that profile are failed

  • All subscriptions are cancelled automatically

  • No refunds are issued

To continue trading, the Gladiator account must be reset within 48 hours. If it is not reset within that time, you will need to purchase a new Gladiator evaluation account.

When This Rule Applies

The inactivity timer applies in situations such as:

  • You purchased an account but never logged in (30 days from purchase)

  • You logged in but never placed a trade (30 days from first login)

  • You previously traded but stopped trading for 30 consecutive days

Notifications

To help prevent accidental inactivity, notifications are sent:

  • 14-Day Reminder - after 16 days of inactivity

  • 5-Day Final Reminder - after 25 days of inactivity

  • Inactivation Notice - on day 30

How to Stay Active

To keep your profile active, simply log in to your trading account and place at least one trade every 30 days.

Example: If you have 5 accounts, placing just one trade on any one of them within 30 days will keep your entire profile active.
