Overview
Run your sessions directly through PT Mate so you can keep track of your clients' attendance and log their session results.
Prerequisites
You need to assign a program to the session the app can run through. This can be done on both the Trainer Web Portal and the Trainer App.
Running the session
In your Trainer App (iOS & Android), select the session when it's due, or up to 30 min before that.
Start session
Tap the button to start the session. For 1:1 sessions, you'll see a screen with the assigned program. For group sessions, a popup will prompt you to confirm session attendance. Don't worry, you can always update it later in case you miss someone.
Block by block
The app helps you run your session block by block. When you're ready, tap Start this block. The according timer will appear allowing you to see the exercises as well as reps and weight targets. You can count your client's reps on that screen as they progress through the exercise.
Logging results
After each block, you can enter your clients results (reps, distance, weights). You can update them any time after the session finishes as well so no need to do that while you're with your clients if you're short on time.
Your clients will also be able to update their group session results from the client app so you don't have to spend large amounts of time going through all of them.
Restarting the session
While it's due (and during its runtime), you can restart the session any time. Your previously logged results will still be saved, allowing you to update them if you have to as well.
Running sessions from your trainer portal
Running sessions from your trainer portal is just as simple as running sessions from your trainer app!
You can access your training session up to 10 minutes prior to your session.
To start the session;
"CONFIRM ATTENDANCE & START SESSION"
Select attendees and press confirm attendance & start session (Group sessions)
Collect your client(s) energy on the scale from 1 to 10 for the beginning of the session. Press confirm to continue.
To start each block hit "Start this block" if there is a timer assigned your count-down will start, your countdown is the same as your app, it is placed in the top right corner of the block. You can pause, resume or restart, the timer or finish the block early.
Fill client results and save results.
Run through each block the same as you would the app
After all blocks are completed press "Finish this session"
A second energy scale will pop up, collect your client(s) energy on the scale from 1 to 10 for the end of the session.
Press CONFIRM & END SESSION to save results.
Timers
When creating a program you can set different timers for different blocks. PT Mate will take care of running the block accordingly:
AMRAP: The timer will run down from your start time to 0. You can log the rounds and reps achieved
No time: Simply log your weightlifting sets.
Intervals: Work time and rest time, either per movement or per round.
Tabata: 8 sets of 20 seconds work and 10 seconds rest. You can define several rounds of Tabata if you like.
EMOM: Every minute on the minute. You can select each "minute" to be 60 seconds or any time interval. Options are to run an interval per movement or all movements in the same interval.
For time: Define a time cap and target rounds (optional). Once completed, you'll be prompted to enter the completion time.
