Overview

PT Mate offers your a large amount of movements to choose from that you can add to your programs. You can also create your own custom movements.

Note that your movements will only be available to you and your clients.

Categories

Movements are organised in different categories. For example, there is a "Deadlift" category housing different types of deadlifts, such as Traditional Deadlift and DB Deadlift.

When creating a movement, you can either add it to an existing category or create a new one.

Adding a custom movement

There are two ways to add a movement:

  • While programming: Search for the movement to add. If you can't find what you're looking for, you can add a custom movement. The form will ask you for the basic information of the movement, and we highly recommend to edit it afterwards to add images or videos if you have them.

  • Add a movement: Either create a new movement type from the list, or add a new movement within an existing movement type.
Note: You can only edit movement types/categories you created.

Choose your equipment

It is important to select the correct equipment for your movement as this will determine how results are being tracked. PT Mate offers a large list of equipment to choose from, and each type will show you what will be tracked (reps, weight or both)

Other options

There are several more options to set up your movement properly, such as muscles affected, category or type. This does not affect your programming per se but helps finding your movements when searching for them.
