Global-e integration setup

The article describes the Global-e integration setup in PULPO

Written by Vadim Glushachenko

Global-e is a cross-border e-commerce platform that helps online brands easily sell directly to consumers in over 200 markets around the world. For international shoppers, it provides a seamless local experience by calculating guaranteed upfront duties and supporting native languages, currencies, and regional payment methods. For merchants, it handles the complex logistics of global shipping, local regulatory compliance, fraud prevention, and international returns.

To set up the integration with Global-e, log in to your test PULPO WMS first and activate the integrator administrator in the settings (if not yet done).

Create integration credentials

PULPO WMS credentials

  • The name can be anything, but the PULPO name is recommended to clearly differentiate it.

  • Type is PULPO

  • URL:

  • A Rule of thumb: The URL has to be the same as the instance you are logged into.

The username and password are the name and password of the PULPO API user provided by the PULPO WMS.

Global-e credentials

  • The name can be any, but “Global-e credentials” is recommended to clearly differentiate it.

  • The type is Global-e

  • URL is https://api.gloabl-e.com/ by default

  • Add Merchant GUID

  • Click Create

The setup of the credentials is finished, and now you can set up the integration configuration.

IMPORTANT: Only countries based on the filter in the integration are processed. All other countries immediately return an unprocessable response by the integrator.

For a visual reference of this configuration, review the file named image_6af4e4.png.

  1. Enter a Name for the integration.

  2. Choose Type Generate shipping labels.

  3. Choose Origin credentials for the data origin (Pulpo API).

  4. Choose Target credentials for the data target (GlobalE API).

Additional settings:

  1. Select the Events to process:

    • packing_order_finished

    • sales_order_finished

    • turbo_label_draft_packing_created

  2. Configure the Country filter mode:

    • Include

    • Exclude

  3. Choose the specific Countries (e.g., Germany, Latvia) that Global-e will (or will not) process. This list is based on the standard countries allowed in the ship-to address of a sales order.

How the integration works

When a selected packing hook fires, the integrator generates a label for the Global-e API. One shipment is created per packing box related to the packing order in process.

  • Label generation: The label received from Global-e is attached to the packing box as a carrier label.

  • Export documents: The Export documents are merged into one PDF and attached to the box as an export document file.

  • Tracking updates: The ParcelTrackingNumber and ParcelTrackingUrl from the response are added to the tracking of the PULPO WMS box.

  • Order dispatch confirmation: Once a sales order is finished in PULPO, the integrator sends a request to Global-e to confirm that shipping was executed.

The integration can work with other label platforms if the destination-country filter is set up correctly in both platforms.
