Product batches are sometimes difficult to identify, and entering them correctly can come at a big risk. With this setting, PULPO WMS will help companies to use lot-type products and keep expiration dates, without having to enter the production lot.

Enabling the setting

To enable the setting, the user needs to activate a checkbox next to "Auto set an expiration date as Lot/Batch" in the Settings ("Incoming" section).

Option functionality

When the user receives a lot-type product with the setting enabled, he needs to click on the date selector first and select an expiration date.

After closing the date selector, the app automatically fills and saves the lot number as YYYYMMDD (same as the expiration date).

In case the user enters and saves a lot number manually before selecting the date, the lot number will be overwritten by the date (YYYYMMDD) when the expiration date is selected.

If required, the user can enter a different lot number and assign it to the lot.
