The shipping feature allows users to perform additional checks of the orders. The orders will get into the state "Shipping" after the Packing step and will be considered to be finished only after they are shipped out manually or using the Load Truck functionality.
The Truck Loading feature was designed to provide customers with shipping functionality to quickly ship out a complete set of packing boxes or a whole shipping position and save the transport data like a license plate or container number in PULPO WMS.
Enabling the setting
First, you need to enable the settings in the PULPO WMS Web Application.
Truck loading can only be activated if the shipping process is enabled.
Activate the shipping process
Activate Truck loading
When the checkboxes are activated, two new sections Shipping and Truck Load appear in the web app menu to give you an overview of your shipping tasks and trucks.
Shipping Functionality
To prepare for the shipping loading process, we need to perform picking and packing as usual. The packing and picking processes remain the same as before. Please keep in mind that if you intend to ship any items, the picking and packing process needs to be completed before the shipping process can begin.
By selecting a Queue view in the Shipping screen, the user can ship out orders by clicking the SHIP OUT button. Orders are considered Ended after shipping.
The user can move the orders to a different shipping position if required by clicking the MOVE button located in the bottom right corner of the screen.
Truck loading functionality
The Load Truck functionality allows you to speed up the shipping process by shipping several boxes or packing positions at once.
After the items have been picked, packed, and put in the shipping position, the user can start loading a truck by clicking the menu item "More" in the PULPO WMS mobile app.
After that, the "Load truck" menu item is to be selected.
Here you can either start loading a new truck or continue loading an existing one if a loading has already started.
After clicking the Load Truck we can enter information about the truck, such as License plate or Container number.
After clicking the OK button, the shipping position or box IDs can be scanned.
After the position confirmation and clicking on DONE, the app will show the list of boxes to be shipped.
Clicking OK will provide a final overview with all the packing box information.
Clicking DONE on this screen will finish the truck-loading process.
You can scan several shipping positions to add all the boxes located in these positions to the truckload.
To remove a box from the truck, swipe to the left.
