CLEAR Credits Explained
Running an analysis consumes 1 credit per asset. An asset can be a piece of text, an image, or a video. If you submit multiple assets in a single analysis, you will use multiple credits.
Example: If an ad includes text plus two images, this counts as 3 assets, and therefore uses 3 credits.
Each credit has an associated monetary value. When you sign up for a CLEAR subscription, you purchase an annual credit package (for example, $1,000 worth of credits) that is then allocated to your team to use for analyses as needed.
Tracking and Assigning Credit Usage
CLEAR provides tools for monitoring how your team’s annual credit allowance is allocated and consumed. Credit usage can be assigned by Department and is controlled by users with Super Admin permissions to ensure appropriate usage across all Departments.
To view your credit allowance and usage by department:
Navigate to Credits from the left-hand menu.
From here you can see information about:
Your overall Team or Domain credit usage.
Your department's credit usage if you are assigned to a department.
Credit usage by department, which helps you understand which departments are using the most credits.
Assigning Credit Allocation by Department
Credits can be assigned and monitored at the department level. This allows teams to control usage based on operational needs and maintain accountability.
To assign credits by department:
Go to Credits > Departments.
Click on Create Department as shown below:
3. Specify the department name and credit limit.
4. Click Create and you're done!
5. To add users to the department you have created, click on Manage Members as shown below, and complete the required fields for adding members to the department.
Tracking Credit Allocation by Department
Credits can be assigned and monitored at the department level. This allows teams to control usage based on operational needs and maintain accountability.
To view department-level credit usage:
Go to Credits > Departments.
Each department entry in the table above shows:
Credits allocated
Credits used
Number of members in the department
Use this information to track how much of your annual allowance each department has consumed.
Tracking Credit Usage by Report
CLEAR also provides detailed visibility into credit consumption at the report level.
To view credit usage per report:
Go to the Credits > Credits as shown below.
Under the usage overview table, you can view the list of all generated compliance reports.
And each report entry displays the number of credits used, contributing to your total annual consumption.
You can also filter for specific reports or a specific department to get a view of usage.
Additionally you can use the date filter to narrow down to a specific time frame and view the reports generated and the credit usage associated with those reports.
This view allows Super Admins to identify high-usage reports and monitor patterns over time.
