We're delighted to announce the launch of Instagram Stories into Owned-channel Insights!
For Instagram accounts that have been plugged in, you will be able to get new metrics and fresh analysis on your Instagram Stories and see how your stories measure up to the rest of your posts.
In the contents 'posts' tab you will now be able to see how your Instagram Stories are performing by Engagements, Impressions, Visibility, Engagement Rate and Reach. You'll also be able to see if they are doing better or worse than your regular image and video posts. We've added a new icon to differentiate whether the post is an Instagram Story or regular post so look out for that when analysing your content performance.
Instagram Stories data will contribute to your overall Impressions, Engagements, Visibility, Engagement Rate and Reach metrics. We classify an 'Engagement' for Instagram Stories as a 'tap back' as this means a user has enjoyed your story so much that they 'tap back' to watch it again and create an Engagement for that story.
You'll be able to see exactly how many 'tap back' engagements you've generated in the content 'Stats' Engagements graph. Here we plot your 'tap backs' performance and the number of times your story has been viewed overtime.
In the profile, brand and brandset excel exports you will get a full breakdown of your Instagram Stories metrics.
Finally, although Instagram Stories only last for 24hrs, as a bonus we store all the data so that you will always be able to go back and see the performance of your stories even after they have disappeared from Instagram.
