Q1. What is the Pulse dashboard and what can I see there?
The dashboard is your home base in Pulse. From here you can see active campaigns, completed campaigns, and drafts waiting for approval, along with overall stats. You can click into any campaign from the dashboard to view its detailed information.
Q2. How does the workspace switcher work for teams across multiple offices?
If your team operates in multiple offices, a workspace switcher appears at the top of the interface. It allows you to jump between offices, check what each office is spending, and see which campaigns are running in each workspace. This helps you keep tabs on activity across different teams.
Q3. How do notifications work and how should I set them up?
Before using Pulse, you should configure notifications so you do not miss creator activity. Pulse can notify you via email, WhatsApp, or SMS when a creator submits a draft. You simply add your phone number and email in the notifications area, and you can also add teammates and organize them by office so the right people receive the right notifications.
Q4. How can I add teammates and control who gets which notifications?
You can add teammates directly in Pulse and assign them to specific offices. By organizing teammates by office, notifications about drafts and other activity are routed to the appropriate people for each workspace, ensuring that each team only receives relevant alerts.
Q5. What billing information does Pulse provide and can I export it?
In the billing section, you select a date range to see your total spend. You can break this spend down by artist, by campaign, or down to the exact amounts paid to each creator. All of this billing data can be exported for use in spreadsheets or sharing with stakeholders.
Q6. What is the creator database and what information does it store?
The creator database is a private record of everyone you have worked with through Pulse. It stores what each creator has charged, the last campaign they participated in, and whether they are represented by an agency. You can also add creators you have worked with outside of Pulse to keep the database complete, and everything in this database remains private to your account.
Q7. Can I manage custom pricing and agency relationships for creators?
Yes, you can set custom pricing for creators you work with frequently. You can also assign agencies, including your preferred contacts and negotiated rates, so that these details are stored and easily referenced within Pulse.
Q8. How do I start building a campaign in Pulse?
To build a campaign, you start by pasting your TikTok URL, uploading the sound file or searching for the song on Spotify. You then enter the basics such as artist and song name, genre, budget, market, and the type of creators you are seeking (for example, beauty creators, faceless accounts, or dog influencers). Once these details are entered, you click Generate to have Pulse begin building a creator list.
Q9. How does Pulse generate and refine the creator list for a campaign?
After you click Generate, Pulse takes about three minutes to build a creator list. As it works, results populate on the right side of the screen along with the AI’s reasoning for why each creator is a good fit. If the list is not quite right, you can continue chatting with the agent to request different creator types, tighter criteria, or different audiences, and refine the list as much as you want.
Q10. How does Pulse help me manage creator availability and avoid overloading creators?
Pulse indicates which creators are not quick to activate, which is useful if you are working against a tight release date. It also shows how many live campaigns each creator is already participating in, helping you avoid overloading the same creators across multiple campaigns.
Q11. What happens after I am happy with the creator list?
Once you are satisfied with the creator list, you proceed to create your brief within the same flow. From there, you can send proposals to creators without leaving the campaign-building interface, keeping the process streamlined.
Q12. Where do I manage an active campaign in Pulse and what controls are available?
After your campaign is live, you manage it in the campaign management area shown in the tour. There you can adjust budget, manage service fees, and track creator spend, all in a view that is visible to everyone on your account.
Q13. What campaign details and history can I see once a campaign is running?
In the live campaign view, you can see published posts, your conversations with each creator, detailed creator information, and even canceled offers. This centralizes all campaign history so you no longer need to search through spreadsheets, Slack messages, or email threads.
Q14. What analytics does Pulse provide for campaigns?
The analytics section lets you track key performance metrics for your campaigns. You can view metrics such as views, spend, and CPM, along with other key numbers referenced in the tour. This gives you a consolidated view of campaign performance.
Q15. Can I share analytics with people who are not in my Pulse workspace?
Yes, Pulse allows you to share the analytics page with others, whether or not they are part of your workspace. This makes it easier to report campaign performance to external stakeholders or other internal teams.
Q16. How often does Pulse change and where can I get help if something looks wrong?
The Pulse platform is evolving quickly, and you will continue to see new features and improvements over time. If something does not look right or you have questions, you are advised to contact your customer success team, who are available to help.
