Download PureVPN app
We’re thrilled to see you here! To begin with, click 👉 here to download the PureVPN application.
Click Download app button to download the PureVPN app on your device.
Once the download is completed, locate the installation file on your device. It’s most likely that you will find it in the Downloads folder of your device.
Install PureVPN app
The guide will walk you through the entire installation process from start to finish.
Go to the download folder of your device and find PureVPN setup.exe.
Double-click the PureVPN setup.exe file.
The computer will ask if you want to allow this app to make changes to your device? Click Yes.
PureVPN is ready to install.
To begin the installation please read the terms and condition. After reading terms and conditions mark check ✅ on it then click Next to continue.
Wait a few seconds and the app will start automatically.
Log in PureVPN app
Once your installation is successful. Here’s how you can proceed to login PureVPN App.
Launch PureVPN app.
Click the Login.
A pop-up window will appear and you will be required to enter your PureVPN credentials.
Enter your PureVPN email and password (Use the email and password you set up during the purchase).
After entering the account details, click Login.
Choose a purpose that best suits your VPN needs and we'll help you get started.
The PureVPN app will automatically pop-up and you will be logged in to the app.
Note: You will be asked to Select Account incase you have multiple subscription against your PureVPN email.
You are now logged into the PureVPN App.
Logout PureVPN Windows app
Wish to logout from the PureVPN application? No problem..!! Follow the simple steps below.
Click the User🙍♂️icon from the left panel of the PureVPN app.
Click Logout.
Click Yes to confirm and proceed.
You have successfully logged out from PureVPN application.
Check subscription details on PureVPN app
Looking for a way to see your subscription details on PureVPN application? Follow the instructions below to be able to see your subscription details in PureVPN application.

Connect via recommended server/ location
Wondering what is the recommended server?
Well, the recommended server will automatically connect you to a country/ server proposed by our smart algorithm (based on geographical distance). Read more about how PureVPN smart algorithm works.
How to get connected with the recommended location/server? Follow the instructions below 👇
Click Connect icon at the center and the app will connect you to the fastest VPN server available.
A successful connection will show the app as connected in Purple color, indicating the start of your secure and anonymous browsing experience. To disconnect, click Purple button located at the center of the app screen.
Connect with your preferred location
So you'd like to connect to a specific location? PureVPN offers a wide range of options, with 6,500+ VPN servers across 70+ countries in 88+ locations, so you can easily connect to your preferred destination.
Click the Globe🌐icon at the left panel of the PureVPN app.
Choose your desired location from the list of countries.
You are now Connected to the PureVPN app with your preferred location.
Connect with your desired city
With this feature you can explore different cities of a country offered within the PureVPN app. How to choose one? Follow the instructions below 👇

Click the Arrow icon > provided besides locations and a list of cities will be displayed.
List of available cities will be displayed next to each country.
Choose your desired City to get connected.

Connect quantum resistant servers
Learn how to establish a connection with quantum-resistant servers using the following step-by-step instructions.
Click the Globe🌐icon at the left panel of the PureVPN app.
From the locations tab, click Quantum Resistant and locations will be sorted accordingly.
Select the QR server location from the location list.
Available locations are US, UK, Australia, Germany, Canada, Singapore and the Netherlands).
Quantum Resistant servers (QR) works only with UDP protocol. Check out this 👉 link to learn how to change protocol.
Once connected, click Connection Details ^ to verify if the quantum resistant encryption is enabled or not.
Choose a location alphabetically or by popularity or ping speed
Tired of scrolling up and down to search for a location? Want a simplified way to sort the locations? Follow the instructions below 👇
Click the Globe icon 🌐 at the left panel of the PureVPN app.
To sort locations alphabetically or by ping, or popularity, click the Sorting icon from the top. You will now see the options to sort them.
To sort countries alphabetically, click Sort by Alphabet.
Countries are now sorted in Alphabetical order.
To sort countries by popularity, click Sort by Popularity.
Countries are now sorted by Popularity.
To sort countries by ping, click Sort by Ping.
Note: Sort by ping is not available by default, you will need to enable Show Ping Values option in the PureVPN app to sort location via ping.

Filter P2P location
Finding it difficult to see which servers are best to use for torrenting? These steps will make your life easier. Filter out the P2P supported countries by following the instructions below 👇
Click the Locations 🌐 option at the left panel of the PureVPN app.
Click the P2P button on the top of location list.
Once done, you will be able to see P2P supported locations.
Access popular website via shortcut
In our latest update of Windows application we have added a Shortcut option that allows users to access their favorite streaming applications.

To get started with this feature follow the instructions below 👇
Click the Locations 🌐 option at the left panel of the PureVPN app.
Go to the Shortcuts option and select desired Shortcut from the list.
You are now connected to the desired shortcut.
After a few seconds, the selected streaming website will open up in your default browser. You may simply login to the streaming website and access it.
Create shortcut for custom website
If you are unable to find your desired website in the list then don't worry! As you can create your own shortcuts as well.

Click the Locations 🌐 option at the left panel of the PureVPN app.
Go to the Shortcuts option and click Add Shortcut.
Go to the Shortcuts option and click Add Shortcut.
Pop-up will appear asking you to confirm. Click OK.
You will now be able to see the newly added shortcut in the Custom Shortcuts list.
You are now connected to the newly created shortcut.
After a few seconds, the selected website will open up in your default browser.
Mark location as favorite
Enjoying PureVPN? To better your VPN connection experience better PureVPN allows users to mark any location as their favorite to provide the users ease of choosing the locations.

Connect with Dedicated IP
Here is a brief guide on how to configure a dedicated IP:
Click Globe🌐icon at the left panel of PureVPN app.
Click the Dedicated IP option to connect.
You are now Connected successfully with your Dedicated IP Add-on.
In case you’re already connected to your dedicated IP on another device, you'll be prompted accordingly to continue as per choice.
Note: Please note that if you choose to click "Yes," the previous device connected to your dedicated IP address will be disconnected, and your current Windows device will be connected instead. If you choose "No," the connection will remain with your previous device.
Connect with Dedicated Server
Click Globe🌐icon at the left panel of PureVPN app.
Click the Dedicated Server option to connect.
You are now Connected successfully with your Dedicated Server.
Rate your session
Your feedback is valuable to us. You can express your experience by rating us directly on the PureVPN app.
How can you rate your VPN session? Follow the instructions below 👇
Connect using the Recommended server option or a desired location of your choice.
Upon successful connection, you’ll see Thumbs up and Thumbs down icons to rate your session.
When you give a Thumbs up, you will see the following screen.
When you give a Thumbs down, you’ll be asked to choose a category and leave comments. As soon as you fill it, a support ticket will open.

Disconnect
Our disconnect option is just as easy to connect. Here’s how you can learn to disconnect it.
Hover your cursor to the connected icon and it would highlight in Purple prompting to disconnect.
Upon clicking the icon, you are now Disconnected.
How to Switch Protocol - PureVPN Windows App
Note: To switch between protocols using the PureVPN app, it's necessary to disconnect the app initially. After turning off the Automatic Protocol Selection option, you'll gain visibility into the various VPN protocols that are available.
Protocol Guide:
Wireguard: (Recommended)
Wireguard provides a fast and secure VPN connection and it’s usually used for web browsing and streaming.
UDP:
UDP is mainly used for streaming and downloading. It provides a fast VPN connection with medium encryption.
TCP:
TCP is more reliable, but also a little slower, and is usually used for web browsing.
IKEv2:
IKEv2 is one of the fastest VPN protocols that provides stable connection and is usually used for streaming and downloading.

Click the Settings ⚙️ icon from the left panel of the PureVPN app.
Select the Protocol tab.
Toggle Automatic Protocol Selection to change your protocol selection.
A warning will appear, click Proceed to continue.
Select your desired protocol from the drop-down menu.
Upon selection, your protocol will be successfully changed.
Note: To manually choose a VPN protocol, start by disconnecting from the PureVPN app. Once you do that, you can see the different protocols available by turning off the "Automatic Protocol" selection.
Connect to Fallback: This option will connect you to the next best available option if you are unable to connect with your preferred protocol.
Once done, go back to the locations tab and connect with your desired location.
Upon successful connection you can see the selected Protocol in the connection details.
Activate Split Tunneling - PureVPN Windows App
Here is the step-by-step guide on activating split tunneling with the PureVPN Windows app.
Click the Settings icon ⚙️ from the left panel of the PureVPN app.
Click Split Tunneling tab.
Toggle Split Tunneling to turn it on.
Split tunneling is turned On now. Upon clicking the + icon, the list of default applications will appear.
You need to mark the application on Add/remove application to add in the list of split-tunneling. alternatively, you can use the browse option to select any installed application of your choice.
Click browse and add your desired program to enable it with split tunnelling. An application might have multiple processes running. To make sure all the data from that application is routed via VPN, please make sure to add all the processes in split tunneling.
Connect to the PureVPN app. Once connected, Open your internet browser (Ex: Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome). The selected browser will run under the VPN.

Launch on system start
If you want the PureVPN app to open automatically when you start your computer, here's a simple guide to help you set it up.
Click the Settings icon ⚙️ from the left panel of the PureVPN app.
In the general settings tab, you will be able to see Launch on system start option.
Toggle Launch on system start to turn it on.
Hurrah! PureVPN app will now launch automatically on system start-up.
Auto connect after launch
Learn how to enable the auto-connect feature for PureVPN, ensuring that the VPN automatically connects every time you launch the application. In the general settings tab, you will be able to see Auto-connect after launch option.
Toggle Auto-connect after launch to turn it on.
Once it's turned on. You will be able to see a drop-down menu from where you can choose the desired option to let the application know which location to connect after launching the app. Following options are available to choose from:
Recommended Location:
By choosing this option the application will automatically connect you to the best location server through the Smart algorithm. Click 👉 here to read more.
Recently Connected Location:
By choosing this option the application will automatically connect you to the last connected location.
Specific Location:
By choosing this option the application will connect you to your preferred location.
Note: This won’t be applicable if your system is in sleep mode.
Show notification
To ensure you stay updated with notifications from PureVPN, including connection status updates and the latest news, upgrades, and offers, follow these simple instructions to enable notifications.
Click the Settings icon ⚙️ from the left panel of the PureVPN app.
In the general settings tab, scroll down to be able to see Show notifications option.
Toggle Show notifications to turn the notifications on.
Internet kill switch

Clear preferences
If you want to reset the PureVPN app back to its default settings, follow these simple instructions.

In the general settings tab, scroll down to be able to see the Clear Preference option.
Click Clear to confirm.
Your app preference have been cleared successfully.
Auto update
