These guidelines help patients safely dispose of sharps. They outline the support available from Eli Lilly, including eligibility for free mail-back containers, and explain how to obtain and use FDA-cleared sharps containers.
Eli Lilly provides limited support for sharps disposal. Currently, only Taltz® (ixekizumab) qualifies for a free sharps mail-back container through Eli Lilly’s patient support program.
Note:
For all other injectable medications, patients are responsible for obtaining their own FDA-cleared sharps disposal container.

Here are the following steps to request the Free Sharps Mail-Back Kit for Taltz®.
Contact Lilly Support
Call the Lilly Answer Center at 1-800-LILLYRX (1-800-545-5979).
Available Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM ET.
Request a Free Container
Confirm that you are prescribed Taltz®.
Provide your name, address, and basic prescription information.
A free sharps container and prepaid mail-back kit will be mailed to you.
Patients Using Other Injectable Medications
Patients using Trulicity®, Emgality®, Mounjaro®, or Zepbound™ are not eligible for Lilly’s free disposal program. Instead, they can order an FDA cleared sharps container through an authorized supplier.
Recommended options include:
