This is the steps for Pyramid v1. Using Pyramid Pi, see here instead.

There are a few situations where a factory reset makes sense including:

  • You've changed the wireless password from OnlineFreedom1 and forgotten it

  • You've forgotten your admin password

  • A reboot hasn't fixed your technical issue

Top Tip: You never need to activate twice. When you factory reset you should sign in with your existing account to prevent being double-billed. If you need to reset your account password head over to pyramidwifi.com/myaccount

You can perform a factory reset either by using the reset button on the Pyramid device or by using the Pyramid app. Both methods are detailed below:

Factory Reset using Reset Button

Tap and hold the reset button for around 10 - 15 seconds - when the right hand LED light starts flashing faster release the reset button.

In around 2 - 3 minutes, you can reconnect in WiFi Settings (default password OnlineFreedom1) and follow the first-time setup instructions (remember not to activate again - sign in using your existing account).

Factory Reset using the App or 192.168.8.1

This method only works if you are connected to Pyramid and know your admin password.

Once there, follow these steps:

  1. Visit 192.168.8.1 or open the app

  2. Sign in using your device password

  3. Tap on the ☰ icon open the menu (as shown)

  4. On the menu select ‘More Settings’ then ‘Factory Reset’

  5. Touch the red ‘Reset’ button

  6. It may take around 2 - 3 minutes for the device to fully reset

  7. After this time you can reconnect in WiFi Settings and then follow the setup instructions (remember not to activate again - sign in using your existing account).
