How to categorize your plans

Plan categories help you organize your plans easily and efficiently. We hope this guide enables you to use the plan categories effectively and stay organized.

Plan Categories enable admin users to create custom categories or 'folders' to easily organize different plans.

Creating a plan category

There are two ways in which you can create a category:

1. By clicking on the 'Create a category' button.

As an admin user, log in to your Qollabi account and navigate to the Plan page. Click the Create a category button on the top right corner of the screen.

Give your new category a name and click Create new category to save it.

If your users use Qollabi in different languages, you can also add a title in their language.

All your existing plans are grouped in a general category called 'Plans in no category.' The new category you created will be placed right under this one.

Every time you create a new category, it will be added to the bottom of the list.

2. Using the in-line option

Alternatively, you can create a category by clicking the line that appears when you place your mouse between 2 categories.

Type the category name and press Enter.

Adding plans to a category

There are a few different ways in which you can do this:

1. When creating or editing a plan

When creating a new plan or editing an existing one, you can select which category you'd like to place it into. Open the dropdown at the bottom of the modal and select where you'd like to put it.

2. Dragging a plan from one category to another

You can also take a plan from one category and drag it into another category. At the moment, you can only move them one by one. But don't worry; we are looking into expanding this functionality to allow bulk selections.

Simply grab a plan and drop it wherever you see the purple highlight. Some text will appear indicating that you can drop the plan there.

3. Directly from an empty plan category

When you have an empty plan category, you will see an empty state with a button inside. When you click on that button, you will be able to create a plan, and it will automatically be saved inside that category.

Renaming a plan category

When you want to rename a plan category, click the three dots on the right and then click Edit category.

Type in the new name and press 'Enter' to save it.

Deleting a plan category

When you want to delete a plan category, click the three dots on the right and then click Delete category.

A pop-up window will appear, asking you to confirm the deletion. Click 'Delete' to confirm.

When you delete a plan category with plans inside, the plans won't be deleted. You can find them in the 'Plans in no category' at the top of the screen.

❗️Important: Once you delete a category, you can't get it back.

Reordering a plan category

Reordering the categories is easy! Just hover over the category and grab the icon with the two lines on the name's left side. Then, drag it to the position where you'd like and drop it once you're ready.

Note: There is no limit to the number of plans you can have in each category, and the categories run over the years, so they won't disappear when you use the filters on top.
