How to Create and Restore QuantVPS Backups

QuantVPS makes it easy to protect your VPS environment with automatic and manual backups. Backups capture your entire VPS — including applications, configurations, and files — so you can safely revert to a previous version if needed.

Enabling Automatic Backups

To confirm or enable automatic backups:

  1. Log in to your QuantVPS dashboard

  2. Select your VPS from the dropdown menu at the top (e.g., #2 VPS).

  3. Navigate to the Backups tab.

  4. Ensure Automatic Backups is set to Enabled.

⏱ Backups run automatically every 72 hours and are stored securely, allowing rapid access to past restore points.

Creating a Manual Backup

If you plan to make major system changes — like installing new trading software or modifying system settings — you can create a backup manually.

To create a backup:

  1. Go to the Backups tab of your VPS.

  2. Click Backup Now to start a manual backup.

⏱ The backup process can take 30–90 minutes, depending on your VPS size and disk usage. You can continue using your VPS while it runs.

Restoring From a Backup

If you need to revert your VPS to a previous state, you can restore from any existing backup in your list.

To restore a VPS:

  1. Open the Backups tab.

  2. Find the backup you want to restore.

  3. Click the ⋯ menu next to it.

  4. Select Restore.

  5. Confirm the restore process when prompted.

⏱ Restoring a VPS takes 30–90 minutes. During this time, your VPS will temporarily go offline and automatically restart once the restore is complete.

⚠️ Restoring a backup will overwrite your current system state. Any files or data created after that backup will be lost.

Tips & Best Practices

  • Automatic schedule: Runs every 72 hours.

  • Before major changes: Create a manual backup first.

  • Monitor progress: Backups and restores show status directly in the dashboard.
