You can upgrade your QuantVPS plan anytime to increase performance, memory, and CPU resources, without losing your data or configurations. The upgrade usually takes about 15 to 60 minutes, and your server remains fully backed up throughout the process.
Upgrade Through Your Dashboard
Before you start: save any open work and close your trading platform before you pay. You do not need to shut down Windows yourself. QuantVPS shuts the VPS down safely and moves your setup to the new server. Upgrades usually finish in 15 to 60 minutes.
Log in to the QuantVPS Dashboard.
Go to the Overview (or Billing) tab.
Click Upgrade next to your active VPS.
Choose your new plan.
Review the cost and click Continue.
On the One Last Step screen, click Pay and start upgrade.
There's no need to reinstall or reconfigure anything: your files, software and settings carry over. Your server gets a new IP address and a new Administrator password (shown in your dashboard under Connection Credentials) and a new Machine ID. Servers in Dublin keep their IP address.
Important Notes
IP address changes after the upgrade (Dublin servers keep theirs). Update any broker, prop-firm or licence whitelists.
Machine ID changes, so some licences and accounts need re-activating.
Password: a new Administrator password is generated. Find it in your dashboard under Connection Credentials.
If your trading platform, license, or any third-party software is tied to a specific IP or Machine ID, you may need to re-authenticate after the upgrade completes.
Billing Notes
All upgrades are pro-rated. You'll only pay the difference for the remaining days in your current billing cycle.
Your default payment method on file will be automatically charged.
