⚠️ Recently, LinkedIn and Indeed updated their policies. Now, recruitment agencies, also known as consultancies, will need to sponsor their job postings to ensure visibility on these platforms. ⚠️

Below, we will share instructions on how to sponsor job postings and the benefits of this process.

LinkedIn:

In August 2024, LinkedIn updated its policy regarding job visibility. Job postings made by consultancies may no longer be visible when listed as organic jobs or through third-party sources like Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).

To ensure job postings are visible, they must be promoted through sponsorship.

The main benefits of sponsoring your job postings include:

  • Your ad will appear at the top of search results, increasing exposure;

  • Sponsored jobs can be displayed to qualified candidates when they search for jobs in the "Based on Your Profile" and "Similar Jobs" tabs;

  • Sponsored jobs have the potential to attract up to three times more qualified candidates.

How to Sponsor a Job on LinkedIn?

If you do few hires each year, follow the steps below to promote your jobs. However, if you are hiring frequently throughout the year, it's recommended to contact a LinkedIn consultant. They will assess your business needs and recommend the most suitable LinkedIn products for you.

Step 1: Click on "Jobs" at the top of your LinkedIn homepage, then click on "Post a Job."

Step 2: On the "Job Details" page, fill out the "Description" and "Add Skills" fields, then click "Continue."

Step 3: On the "Candidate Options" page, fill out the following fields:

  • How would you like to receive applications for your job? Select how you want to receive applications: by email or through an external site.

    • External Site: You can add the link to the job posting on Quickin, allowing candidates to be redirected to the Quickin form to apply. This way, candidate applications will appear directly on the platform.

      Additionally, to track candidates who apply through LinkedIn and generate indicators from this information, you can add a source to the job posting link. Follow these steps:

      Step 1: Within the open job on Quickin, go to the "Advertise" tab.

      Step 2: On the right side, under the "Share" option, click the arrow next to the "Copy" button and select the source "LinkedIn."

    • Step 3: After selecting the source, click the "Copy" button and add the link in the "External Site" field on LinkedIn. If you need to register the source, click here for step-by-step instructions.

Step 4: Add and review screening questions. Lastly, by clicking "Promote Job", you will select the payment method and post the job.

Indeed

Starting in May 2024, following a policy change similar to LinkedIn’s, Indeed will no longer display job postings from recruitment agencies organically. Now, to ensure these job postings have visibility, they must be sponsored. This change aims to provide a better experience for candidates by prioritizing jobs posted directly by hiring companies.

The new rule applies to both jobs posted directly on Indeed and those submitted via ATS.

The benefits of sponsoring a job on Indeed include:

  • Sponsored jobs have greater visibility in search results, increasing the likelihood of being seen by relevant candidates;

  • Sponsored ads maintain their relevance in search results, even as new jobs appear, ensuring continued visibility for candidates.

How to Sponsor a Job on Indeed?

There are two ways to post and sponsor a job on Indeed:

  • Post the job directly on Indeed: The job can be posted directly on Indeed by the employer, who then has the option to sponsor the job.

  • Post the job via ATS: The job can be published through an ATS, and in this case, consultancies must follow these steps to sponsor the jobs:

    Step 1: Create an Indeed account if you don't have one yet.

    Step 2: Contact Indeed to link your Indeed account to Quickin, ensuring that open jobs in Quickin appear correctly on Indeed.

    Step 3: After linking, the open jobs in Quickin will appear on your Indeed dashboard, allowing you to sponsor them.

We hope these guidelines are helpful for your processes! 😊
