Using MapMeasure Pro to Measure Properties Instantly

Learn how to measure property areas and calculate pricing instantly inside QuoteIQ using MapMeasure Pro.

MapMeasure Pro inside QuoteIQ makes it easy to measure properties and price jobs without ever stepping foot onsite. In this guide, we’ll show you how to measure areas, adjust map settings, and calculate pricing based on your default service rates.

Step 1: Start a New Estimate

  1. From your Dashboard, click Estimates Tab in the top navigation bar.

  2. Click "+ Create Estimate" in the top right corner.

  3. Select/Create your customer, then click Next

  4. Select Your Service


Step 2: Launch MapMeasure Pro

Click the MapMeasure Pro icon located within the service selection screen.


Step 3: Outline the property

Once MapMeasure Pro opens:

  • A satellite view of the property will load.

  • Drop pins to outline the surface you want to measure.

You have two options for dropping pins:

  • Mouse Mode ON: Tap to drop pins directly.

  • Mouse Mode OFF: Drag the map to move a crosshair and drop pins precisely.


Step 4: View Measurements

As you pin the outline:

  • Total Area and Perimeter are displayed in the top left corner.


Step 5: Customize Your Map Outline (Optional)

Click the Map Settings tab (top right corner) to:

  • Change marker color

  • Adjust polygon fill color and opacity

  • Modify border color and border width


Step 6: Save Measurements to Estimate

When you're satisfied:

  • Click Save To Estimate (located in the top left corner).

Your measurements will automatically apply to the estimate, and the price will be calculated using your default pricing settings.


Step 7: (Optional) Use Linear Measurement Mode

If you need to measure straight-line distances:

  • Go to the Map Settings tab.

Map Setting

  • Toggle ON Linear Mode.


Helpful Tip: Default pricing settings control ow MapMeasure Pro calculates the final estimate price. You can edit your default pricing under Service List before using MapMeasure Pro for jobs.
