How To Schedule an Employee

Learn how to assign jobs to your team members in QuoteIQ using the Schedule button and manage your calendar with ease.

Scheduling employees in QuoteIQ is simple, fast, and fully integrated into your estimates and calendar. Whether you’re assigning one-time jobs or recurring work, you can easily select a technician, set the schedule, and view all assignments inside the calendar tab. This guide walks through the process step by step.

Step 1: Go to the Estimate You Want To Schedule

From the Dashboard, click on the Estimates tab. Locate the estimate you’d like to schedule (use the search bar if needed), and click the Schedule button under the customer name.


Step 2: Confirm the Schedule Details

You’ll be taken to a screen where you can set:

  • Start Date and Start/End Time

  • Add any internal Notes about the job

  • Check the box for Recurring Schedule if this job repeats


Step 3: Assign a Team Member

Use the dropdown under Select Permitted User to assign this job to a team member on your account. (You’ll need to have users already added via Settings → Users.)


Step 4: Confirm and Schedule

Once everything is filled in, click Confirm Schedule at the bottom. That job will now appear in your Calendar, assigned to the selected technician.


Step 5: View the Scheduled Job in the Calendar

Go to the Calendar tab. You’ll now see that scheduled job on the selected day, including:

  • Customer details

  • Technician assignment

  • Service information

  • Job status

From here, your technician can click On The Way, Start Timer, or Complete Job right from the event card.

How do I add more employees to assign jobs to?

Go to Settings → Users and invite them. Once added, they’ll show in the “Select Permitted User” dropdown. (View Article)

Can I assign multiple employees to the same job?

Not currently — only one user can be assigned to each job at this time.
