If you're running a business with multiple appointments per day—lawn care, pest control, trash bin cleaning, pressure washing—this feature helps you cut windshield time and maximize your earning potential. Route Optimization is available on the Elite and Max plans and is designed to help you run a more efficient, profitable business.

How It Works
Step 1: Open the Calendar View
From either desktop or mobile, click into your calendar and select the day you want to optimize. You'll need multiple scheduled jobs on the day for this feature to activate.
Step 2: Click 'Route Optimization'
At the top right of the calendar day view, press the Route Optimization button.
This will bring you to a new screen displaying a list of your Routes for the day—these are your scheduled jobs that haven't yet been placed in the most efficient order.
Step 3: Auto Optimize Your Route
Tap the Auto Optimize button in the top left corner. QuoteIQ will instantly reorder your jobs to create the most time-efficient route based on their locations.
Step 4: View Optimized Route
Your route will be updated with a clear order of stops, starting from your current location and ending at your final job or return point. Each job will be color-coded and plotted on the map for easy navigation.

What tier do I need to access Route Optimization?
Elite or Max. It runs on IQ Credits, metered per leg of the route.
Is this the same as Routing in Atlas?
No. Atlas has its own Routing section (also Elite and Max) that orders a day's jobs on the Atlas map. Calendar Route Optimization and Atlas Routing are separate features.
Does Route Optimization work on mobile and desktop?
Yes, the feature is fully supported on both desktop and mobile versions of QuoteIQ.
Can I re-optimize a route after a job has been rescheduled or canceled?
Yes. If changes occur during your day, you can return to the calendar, make your adjustments, and re-click the "Route Optimization" button to generate a new optimized path.
What if my starting location is different each day?
QuoteIQ uses your current calendar location data to determine your starting point. Make sure your first job or hub is properly entered for the most accurate routing.
Does this integrate with third-party GPS or mapping apps?
The routing is optimized and visualized inside QuoteIQ's calendar map, but users can open external GPS apps to navigate once the route is confirmed.
What if I want to disable route optimization?
If you'd prefer to manually schedule routes, simply don't press the "Route Optimization" button. Your jobs will stay in the order you assigned them.
