What AI Smart Import Can Import
AI Smart Import works for four types of data:
Contacts / Customers — Import your entire customer database from another CRM. Names, phone numbers, emails, addresses, and other contact fields are automatically mapped. Note: AI Smart Import maps contact info only — past payment history on those contacts is not imported.
Services / Price Book — Import your service list and pricing from another CRM. Service names, descriptions, pricing, and categories are automatically detected and mapped into your QuoteIQ Price Book.
Invoices — Import your past invoices from another CRM. The AI maps invoice numbers, customer info, line items, totals, dates, and statuses automatically.
Estimates — Import your past estimates / quotes / proposals from another CRM. The AI maps estimate details, customer info, line items, totals, dates, and statuses automatically.
How AI Smart Import Works
Export from your current CRM — Download your contacts, services, invoices, or estimates as a CSV file from Jobber, Housecall Pro, ServiceTitan, or whatever platform you're currently using. Every CRM has an export option — check their help docs or settings if you're unsure how.
Open Import in QuoteIQ — Go to the relevant section of QuoteIQ (Contacts, Price Book, Invoices, or Estimates) and open the Import option. AI Smart Import works the same way in each section.
Tap "Smart Import" — You'll see the AI Smart Import option highlighted at the top of the import screen with a purple banner. Tap the ✨ Smart Import button.
Upload your CSV — Select any CSV file with your data. The screen shows your current IQ Credits balance. Tap Choose CSV File and select your export file.
AI maps your data — QuoteIQ's AI automatically detects the column names from your old CRM and maps them to QuoteIQ's fields. No manual column matching needed.
Review and confirm — Check the mapping, make any adjustments if needed, and confirm. Your data is imported into QuoteIQ.
That's it. What used to take hours of spreadsheet reformatting now takes about 2 minutes.

AI Smart Import is available on both the QuoteIQ web app (myquoteiq.com) and the mobile app (iOS and Android). The flow is the same on every device.
Manual CSV Import (Alternative)
If you prefer not to use AI Smart Import, you can also import manually for contacts. The import screen shows both options:
AI Smart Import (top, highlighted) — AI maps your columns automatically. Uses IQ Credits. Works for contacts, services, invoices, and estimates.
Manual CSV Upload (below) — You format your CSV to match QuoteIQ's exact template, then upload. No IQ Credits used, but requires manual formatting work. Manual CSV import is only available for contacts.
For invoices, estimates, and services, AI Smart Import is the way to bring data in.
The manual contact import also includes a "How it works" sidebar with step-by-step instructions specific to your source CRM (e.g., "Export from Jobber → Upload file → Review & Import").

Phone Address Book Import
You can also import contacts directly from your phone's address book. From the Contacts tab, tap the import option and select your phone contacts. QuoteIQ pulls in names, phone numbers, and email addresses from your device.
