QuoteIQ gives you multiple ways to bring your existing customers into your account. Whether you're switching from another CRM like Jobber or Housecall Pro, uploading a spreadsheet, or just pulling contacts from your phone — we've got you covered.
There are 4 ways to import contacts:
AI Smart Import — Upload a CSV from any CRM and QuoteIQ's AI automatically maps your data (recommended for CRM switching)
Phone Address Book — Import contacts directly from your phone
Manual CSV Import — Upload a properly formatted CSV file
Done-For-You Migration ($299) — Our team handles everything for you
Option 1: AI Smart Import (Recommended for CRM Switching)
If you're coming from another CRM — Jobber, Housecall Pro, ServiceTitan, Service Fusion, or any other platform — AI Smart Import is the fastest way to get your data into QuoteIQ.
How it works:
Export your contacts from your current CRM as a CSV file. Every CRM has an export option — check their help docs or settings if you're unsure how.
In QuoteIQ, go to Contacts and tap Import Contacts.
Upload your CSV file.
QuoteIQ's AI will automatically detect and map the columns from your old CRM to QuoteIQ's fields — no manual formatting required.
Review the mapping, confirm, and your contacts are imported.
Why use AI Smart Import? Other CRMs export data in their own format with their own column names. Instead of making you manually reformat everything to match QuoteIQ's structure, our AI reads whatever format your old CRM uses and maps it automatically. What used to take an hour of spreadsheet work now takes about 5 minutes.
Import Services & Price Book Too
AI Smart Import isn't just for contacts — it also imports your services and price book. Upload a services export from your old CRM and QuoteIQ's AI maps your service names, descriptions, and pricing into QuoteIQ's price book automatically. No need to rebuild your service list from scratch.
Option 2: Import from Your Phone's Address Book
Import contacts directly from your phone's address book into QuoteIQ. This is great if you've been managing customers through your phone contacts and want to bring them into the CRM.
From the Contacts tab, tap the import option and select your phone contacts. You can search through your device contacts, select individual entries or bulk-add multiple contacts at once, and QuoteIQ will pull in names, phone numbers, and email addresses from your device.
Option 3: Manual CSV Import
If you prefer to build your own CSV file or need precise control over the data, you can use the manual CSV import tool.
Prefer to watch?
Step 1: Navigate to the Contacts Tab
From your dashboard, click the Contacts tab on the left-hand side.
Step 2: Click "Import Contacts"
In the top right corner of the Contacts screen, press the Import Contacts button.
Step 3: Download the Sample CSV Format
Before uploading, click Download Sample to view what your CSV file should look like. Your file must exactly match this structure for the manual import to work properly.
Your CSV should include the following fields:
first_name
last_name
email
phone_number
phone_country_code
company_name
street_name
city
country
state
zip_code
Tip: If you're switching from another CRM and don't want to reformat your file manually, use AI Smart Import instead — it reads your old CRM's export format automatically.
Step 4: Upload Your CSV File
Once your file is correctly formatted, click Upload CSV, then select your file from your device.
Step 5: Complete the Upload
After uploading your file, click Finish Upload to complete the import process. All your contacts will now be added to your QuoteIQ account.
Option 4: Done-For-You Migration ($299)

FAQs
What's the difference between AI Smart Import and Manual CSV Import?
AI Smart Import reads the CSV file from your old CRM and automatically maps the columns to QuoteIQ's fields — even if the column names don't match. Manual CSV Import requires your file to match QuoteIQ's exact format. If you're switching from another CRM, AI Smart Import is almost always the better choice.
Can AI Smart Import bring in my services/price book too?
Yes. AI Smart Import works for both contact databases and service/price book imports. Upload your services export from your old CRM and the AI maps your service names, descriptions, and pricing into QuoteIQ automatically.
What file format does QuoteIQ accept for imports?
Only .CSV (Comma Separated Values) files are accepted. Excel or other formats must be saved as CSV first.
Will duplicate contacts be merged or skipped?
Currently, QuoteIQ does not auto-merge. Uploading duplicates will create separate entries, so be sure to clean your file before importing.
Will uploading new contacts delete the ones I already have?
No. Uploading a new CSV will simply add the new contacts to your existing list. None of your current customer data will be overwritten or removed.
Can I import contacts from my phone?
Yes. QuoteIQ can import contacts directly from your phone's address book. Go to the Contacts tab and select the phone import option. You can search through your device contacts, select individual entries, or bulk-add multiple contacts at once.
What if my CSV file from another CRM doesn't match QuoteIQ's format?
Use AI Smart Import. It's designed specifically for this — it reads whatever format your old CRM exports and maps it to QuoteIQ automatically. No reformatting needed.
What happens if my manual CSV file is missing a required column?
The manual upload will fail. Make sure your file exactly matches the sample format provided in QuoteIQ. Or use AI Smart Import to avoid this issue entirely.
