What Is Time Tracker Pro?
Time Tracker Pro is QuoteIQ's GPS-based time tracking system for your field team. Employees clock in and out directly from the QuoteIQ app, with GPS verification confirming they're at the job site. It tracks hours per job, supports break functionality, and maintains complete history logs.
Time Tracker Pro is the system of record for employee hours — useful for payroll, accountability, and visibility into where your team is spending their time. It does not automatically populate the labor cost field in Job Reporting; labor for Job Costing is entered manually in Job Reporting (see the Job Costing article for details).

How to Edit a Time Entry

Editing time entries is available on the QuoteIQ web app (myquoteiq.com) and on the QuoteIQ mobile app for both iOS and Android. The steps are the same on every device.
Use this anytime an employee's time entry needs correcting — they forgot to clock out, clocked in late, took an unrecorded break, etc. Only admins (or users with the appropriate time tracking permission) can edit time entries.
Step 1: Open Time Tracker
Open QuoteIQ on the web app (myquoteiq.com) or on your mobile app (iOS or Android). Navigate to Time Tracker.
Step 2: View employee time
Find the employee whose entry you need to change and open their time tracking history. You'll see a list of each clock-in/clock-out entry.
Step 3: Tap the 3-dot menu under "Action"
On the specific time entry you want to edit, tap (or click on web) the 3-dot menu in the Action column on the right side of that entry's row.
Step 4: Select "Edit Time Entry"
Choose Edit Time Entry from the menu. Adjust the clock-in time, clock-out time, or break details, then save.

How do I edit an employee's time entry?
On either the QuoteIQ web app (myquoteiq.com) or the mobile app (iOS or Android): open Time Tracker, find the employee and the specific entry, tap the 3-dot menu under the Action column on that entry's row, and select Edit Time Entry. Make your changes and save. The flow is identical on every device.
Can I edit a time entry from the mobile app?
Yes. Editing time entries works on iOS, Android, and the web app. Use the same 4 steps on every device: Time Tracker → employee's history → 3-dot menu under Action → Edit Time Entry.
An employee forgot to clock out — how do I fix it?
Open Time Tracker on web or mobile, find the employee's open entry, tap the 3-dot menu under Action, and select Edit Time Entry. Enter the correct clock-out time and save.
Do Time Tracker Pro hours automatically flow into Job Costing?
No. Time Tracker Pro records employee hours, but those hours do not automatically populate Job Costing's labor field. Labor cost for Job Costing must be entered manually in Job Reporting on every plan, including Elite and Max. You can reference the recorded Time Tracker hours when entering labor, but the entry itself is a manual step.
