QuoteIQ MCP — Connect ChatGPT, Claude, or Grok to Your QuoteIQ Account

QuoteIQ MCP links your QuoteIQ account to ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, or any MCP-compatible AI assistant. Included on all plans. 227 actions, including sending estimates, invoices, emails and texts, and you approve every change before it happens.

Available On: All plans — the tools your assistant can use match the features included in your plan

Connector address: mcp.myquoteiq.com

What Is QuoteIQ MCP?

QuoteIQ MCP is a native Model Context Protocol connector built directly into QuoteIQ — the first one in a home service CRM. It securely links your QuoteIQ account to the AI assistant you already use, so you can run your business through a conversation instead of tapping through screens.

MCP is an open standard for connecting AI assistants to real software. Because QuoteIQ speaks it natively, any MCP-compatible assistant can connect — ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, and others.

Quick Facts

  • Works with: ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, and any MCP-compatible assistant

  • Included: on every QuoteIQ plan — no add-on, no separate subscription

  • Actions: 227, covering almost everything you do in QuoteIQ — including sending estimates, invoices, emails and texts to your customers

  • Safety: you approve every change before it happens, and nothing is sent to a customer until you confirm it

  • Set up from: the QuoteIQ web app, at Settings → Automation → AI Assistant

How to Connect

  1. In the QuoteIQ web app, go to Settings → Automation → AI Assistant.

  2. Copy the connector link.

  3. In your AI assistant, add a custom connector and paste the link. (Anthropic's guide: custom connectors in Claude. OpenAI's guide: connectors in ChatGPT.)

  4. Sign in with your QuoteIQ account when prompted. Once connected, the connector shows the QuoteIQ icon.

Connecting is a one-time setup. After that, open your assistant and start asking — there's nothing to install and no code to write.

What You Can Do

Ask questions and get answers straight from your own data.

  • "What did we invoice the Hendersons in July?"

  • "Which estimates are still open?"

  • "What's on the schedule Thursday?"

  • "Which invoices are unpaid?"

  • "How were sales last month, and what was my margin per job?"

Ask it to do the work. Your assistant prepares the action, shows you exactly what it will do, and waits for you to approve it.

New in the Late September 2026 Update

  • 227 actions, up from 134 at launch. Your assistant can now send estimates, invoices, emails and texts to customers, record and collect payments, request signatures, invite teammates, and much more.

  • Clearer approvals. If a request you approved can't be completed, QuoteIQ now explains why in plain language.

  • Recurring jobs fixed. Changing "this and all future" visits of a recurring job that started in the past now works.

New in the Mid-October 2026 Update

  • Fewer confirmation steps. After you confirm an action, your assistant gets the result straight away and carries on.

  • Supplier orders with several products can be placed in one request, with one approval.

  • Clearer approval setting. The "Approve changes in QuoteIQ" setting now says exactly which actions always ask for confirmation.

How QuoteIQ MCP Keeps Your Data Safe

  • You approve every change. Every create, update, send or delete is shown to you first and only happens after you approve it.

  • Nothing reaches a customer without you. Emails, texts, estimates, invoices, signature requests and campaigns are only sent after you confirm them.

  • Deletes work exactly like the app. Contacts, estimates, invoices and pipeline deals can be deleted, and a delete is permanent, just like in QuoteIQ. Recurring and subscription invoices can't be deleted this way.

  • Payments are protected. Charging a saved card only works for the invoice's exact remaining balance, on a card the customer already saved.

  • Real sign-in. The connector uses a proper OAuth sign-in tied to your QuoteIQ account.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is MCP?

MCP stands for Model Context Protocol — an open standard for connecting AI assistants to real software. QuoteIQ MCP is a native connector built into QuoteIQ, which is why any MCP-compatible assistant can use it.

Which AI assistants work with QuoteIQ MCP?

ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, and any other MCP-compatible platform.

Which plans include QuoteIQ MCP?

All of them. The tools available to your assistant correspond to the features included in your plan — if a feature isn't on your plan, the connector doesn't expose it.

Can my assistant send messages to my customers?

Yes. It can send estimates, invoices, emails, texts, "On the way" messages, signature requests and campaigns. Every send waits for you to confirm it first.

Can the assistant change or delete my data without asking?

No. Every change, including a delete, is shown to you first and only happens after you approve it. Deletes are permanent, just like deleting in the app.

Can it take payments?

It can record offline payments (cash, check, Zelle and others) and charge a card your customer already saved, for the invoice's exact remaining balance. Both need your approval.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. You copy a link from QuoteIQ and paste it into your AI assistant. That's the whole setup.

Does QuoteIQ MCP cost extra?

Not from QuoteIQ — it's included on every plan. Your AI assistant's own usage is billed by that provider (Anthropic, OpenAI, xAI), not by QuoteIQ. AI actions like the AI Estimator use IQ Credits, the same as in the app.

My approved request didn't go through. How do I find out why?

QuoteIQ now explains in plain language why an approved request couldn't be completed, so you know what to fix and can ask your assistant to try again.

The "copy connector URL" button gave me a link my assistant couldn't connect to.

That was fixed — the button now hands out a working link, and Claude detects that sign-in is required. If you set the connector up before that fix, copy the link again from Settings → Automation → AI Assistant and reconnect.
