⚠️ Changing plans during your 14-day free trial
You get one free trial per account. If you change plans while inside the trial — upgrading or downgrading — the change ends your trial and bills your card on file immediately for the new plan.
A downgrade during the trial does not wait until the end of a billing cycle, and there is no second trial on the new plan. If you want to stay in your free trial, don't change plans until it ends.
Once you're a paying subscriber the rules are different: upgrades apply immediately with a prorated charge, and downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing cycle.

How many IQ Credits come with the free trial?

Do I get more trial credits on a higher plan?
No. The trial credit amount is a flat 250 IQ Credits for every tier. Starting your trial on Max gives you the same 250 credits as starting on Essentials.
Can I start the free trial without entering a credit card?
No. A credit or debit card is required to start your 14-day free trial — there is no card-free trial option. You enter your card when you choose a plan and create your account. It's stored securely and isn't charged during the trial; billing begins only when the 14 days end (or immediately if you change plans mid-trial), and you can cancel anytime before then to avoid any charge.
How many free trials do I get?
One per account. The trial runs once and does not reset or restart when you switch plans — which is why changing plans during the trial ends it and starts billing on the new plan.
Can I change my plan later?
Yes, and there are no fees or penalties for changing plans. How billing works depends on whether you're in the trial:
During the 14-day free trial: Any change — upgrade or downgrade — ends the trial and bills your card on file immediately for the new plan.
As a paying subscriber: Upgrades apply immediately and you're charged the prorated difference. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing cycle.
If I downgrade during my free trial, will I be billed?
Yes. Downgrading during the trial ends the trial and bills your card immediately for the new, lower plan. Because you only get one trial per account, moving to a cheaper plan does not keep the trial running and does not start a fresh trial.
Does a downgrade wait until the end of my billing cycle?
It depends. If you are a paying subscriber, yes — a downgrade takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle and the lower price starts on the next one. If you are still inside your 14-day free trial, no — the downgrade ends your trial and bills you right away for the new plan.
When I downgrade, does it happen automatically?
You don't need to do anything else once you confirm the change. If you're a paying subscriber, the downgrade is scheduled automatically and takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle. If you're still inside your 14-day free trial, it applies immediately — and it ends your trial and bills your card on file for the new plan right away rather than staying free until the cycle ends.
If I upgrade during my free trial, will I be billed?
Yes. Upgrading during the trial ends the trial and bills your card on file immediately for the new plan. The trial does not continue on the new plan, and switching back down won't reverse the charge — a downgrade is also a plan change and will bill you for the lower plan.
Will I still be in my free trial if I change plans?
No. Changing plans during the trial — in either direction — ends it and starts billing on the card on file. You'll get the new plan's features immediately, but you won't be on the free trial anymore and you won't get a second one.
What are IQ Credits and how do they work?
IQ Credits power QuoteIQ's AI features, and each feature costs a different amount depending on complexity. AutoPilot uses credits per prompt, Virtual Call Team per call minute (125 IQC = 1 minute), the AI Estimator per estimate, image generators per image, and Auto Complete per text completion. Property Lines parcel lookups cost 50 IQC each. Free trials include 250 credits; paid plans include 500 to 8,000 per month depending on tier. Credits reset at the beginning of each billing cycle and unused credits do not roll over.
Can I see my credit spending history?
Yes. Go to your Dashboard, look at the top right, and tap the box with the ⚡ lightning bolt icon to open Usage Analytics. That shows your credit spending history — what used credits, when, and how much. Your current balance also appears as a badge in the AI interface.
What if I run out of IQ Credits?
You can buy more anytime as a one-time purchase: 2,500 for $25, 5,000 for $50, 10,000 for $100, or 25,000 for $250. Credits are added to your account immediately. This works during the free trial too — you don't have to end the trial or upgrade to buy credits.
Does QuoteIQ offer consumer financing for my customers?
Yes. Consumer Financing is included on every plan from Essentials through Max — including the free trial — at no additional subscription cost. They can also add a tip on an invoice, split larger jobs through Consumer Financing (Affirm, Klarna, Afterpay), and — on Pro and above — save a card on file in the Client Portal. For in-person work you can also enter a customer's card manually in the app.
How many users do I get, and can I add more?
Essentials includes 1 user, Beginner 2, Pro 4, Elite 10, and Max unlimited. QuoteIQ does not charge per-seat fees — if you need more users than your plan allows, move up to the next tier.
How does annual billing work?
Annual billing saves you 2 months — you pay for 10 months and get 12. Your subscription renews automatically each year, and you can switch to monthly billing at any time, effective at your next renewal date.
What is the Price-Lock Guarantee?
Existing customers are grandfathered into their pricing. If QuoteIQ raises prices in the future, your rate stays exactly the same for as long as you keep an active subscription.
Do I need a contract?
No. All plans are month-to-month with no contracts and no cancellation fees. Cancel anytime and you keep access through the end of your current billing period, with your data available for export.
What payment methods does QuoteIQ accept for my subscription?
All major credit and debit cards — Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover — processed securely through Stripe. A credit or debit card is required both to start your free trial and to run a paid subscription.
Do I need to buy third-party integrations?
No. Property measurement (MapMeasure Pro), photo documentation (QuoteIQ Cam), customer self-quoting (InstaQuote) and the rest are all native to QuoteIQ. The only optional add-ons are the AI Website Builder ($34.99/mo, free on Max) and additional businesses.

Can I import my data from another CRM?
Yes, on every plan. AI Smart Import reads a CSV export from Jobber, Housecall Pro, ServiceTitan or any other platform and maps the columns automatically — contacts, services and price book, invoices and estimates. You can also import contacts straight from your phone's address book. Large imports run on a background pipeline so you can close the app. If you'd rather have our team do it, there are two one-time Done For You setup options: Done For You ($299) and Done For You Plus ($999).

How do I cancel my subscription?
Open QuoteIQ on web, iPhone or Android, then go to Menu / Settings → Subscription Packages → Manage Subscriptions, tap Manage under your active plan, then Cancel Subscription and confirm. You keep access through the end of your current billing period.
Legacy App Store / Google Play subscribers: If you originally subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play (older accounts only — QuoteIQ no longer bills through Apple or Google for new signups), Apple or Google handles your billing and you cancel through your phone's subscription settings.
Apple: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → QuoteIQ → Cancel Subscription.
Google Play: Google Play → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → QuoteIQ → Cancel subscription.

How do I update my payment method?
Same path as cancellation up to the last step: Menu / Settings → Subscription Packages → Manage Subscriptions → Manage, then update your card and save. If you're still in your free trial, updating payment info just stores the card — nothing is charged until the trial ends, unless you change plans during it.
Legacy App Store / Google Play subscribers: If Apple or Google bills your subscription (older accounts only), your card on file is managed in your Apple ID or Google Play account, not inside QuoteIQ.
