What is Raise More and who is it for?

Raise More is a fundraising CRM for Democratic campaigns combining a donor database with a dialer, email, and texting. Who uses it and how to start.

Raise More is a fundraising CRM built for Democratic political campaigns and allied organizations. At its center is a donor database, and around that database it adds the tools campaigns use to actually raise money: a web-based dialer for call time, email, and texting. The idea is to keep your donor records and your outreach in one place, so the people you call, email, and text are the same people whose giving history, contact information, and notes you can see.

This article explains what Raise More does, who uses it, and how the pieces fit together. If you are setting up an account for the first time, it points you toward where to begin.

What you can do with it

Raise More covers the main parts of a fundraising operation:

  • Donor database (CRM). Import contacts from spreadsheets, research and clean up your data, find and merge duplicate records, and keep your database tidy over time. Each person has a profile with their contact information, giving history, pledges, tags, notes, and the calls, emails, and texts they have received.

  • Calltime dialer. Make calls from your browser during call time. Multiple people can work the same calling session at once (for example a candidate and a finance director), take notes on a donor's profile as the call happens, and log the outcome of each call. This is the core workflow for candidates and finance directors who spend most of their day on the phone.

  • Email campaigns. Build and send fundraising email to your lists at scale. Raise More handles the deliverability work that keeps messages landing in inboxes, including domain verification, bounce handling, and unsubscribe compliance.

  • Texting (SMS). Send text-message campaigns and handle replies. SMS in the United States is heavily regulated, so Raise More manages the carrier compliance steps (such as A2P/10DLC registration) that keep your numbers in good standing.

  • Integrations. Sync donations from ActBlue so they flow onto donor profiles and into your reporting. Raise More also syncs with NGP VAN and brings in FEC committee data.

Who it's for

Raise More is built for the people who run fundraising on a campaign. The most common users are candidates and finance directors, the people doing call time and managing the donor relationship day to day.

Beyond individual campaigns, customers include:

  • State parties and large committees managing fundraising at scale.

  • Consulting firms that bring multiple campaigns onto the platform and work across them.

  • Advocacy organizations, nonprofits, and unions doing donor and supporter outreach.

If your work involves calling, emailing, or texting donors and keeping track of who gave what, Raise More is meant for you.

How the pieces fit together

The donor database is the foundation. Everything else reads from and writes back to it.

When you import a spreadsheet of contacts, those people become donor records. When you build a list (a saved group of people, such as "donors who gave last cycle but not yet this cycle"), you can hand that same list to the dialer to call through, to an email campaign to send to, or to a text campaign. As you call, email, and text, the activity is logged back onto each person's profile, so the next time you open that donor you can see the full history in one view.

Donations tie it together. Gifts that come in through ActBlue sync onto the matching donor profile automatically, so your call notes, your sends, and your money all live against the same record. That is what lets you see, for one person, what they have given and how you have been reaching out to them.

Where to start

If you are new to Raise More, the usual path is:

  1. Finish account setup and onboarding. If you plan to use the dialer, this includes setting up a verified caller ID.

  2. Import your contacts so you have a donor database to work from.

  3. Build and save a list of the people you want to reach.

  4. Start a calling session on that list, or send an email or text campaign to it.

FAQ

Is Raise More only for political campaigns?

It is built primarily for Democratic political campaigns, but it is also used by state parties, committees, consulting firms, and increasingly by advocacy organizations, nonprofits, and unions doing donor outreach.

Do I have to use the dialer, email, and texting all together?

No. They share the same donor database, but you can use as much or as little as fits your operation. Many users start with the database and the dialer and add email or texting later.

Does Raise More work with ActBlue?

Yes. Donations from ActBlue sync into Raise More and appear on the matching donor profiles and in your reporting. Raise More also syncs with NGP VAN and brings in FEC committee data.

Can more than one person use the dialer at the same time?

Yes. The dialer supports real-time collaboration, so a candidate and a finance director (or other team members) can work the same calling session together.
