Edit the contact's name or basic profile fields
Click the contact's name at the top of the profile. The name switches to a set of editable text inputs covering first name, last name, middle name, prefix, suffix, nickname, and pronouns. Fill in or correct what you need, then click outside the form or press Enter to save.
Occupation and employer appear just below the name as a short inline display. Click either field to edit it in place.
Fix or correct a phone number
Open the contact profile and find the Phone Numbers section in the Contact Information panel. Each number has a three-dot menu on the right. From that menu:
Edit opens a modal where you can correct the number or change its type (Mobile, Home, Work).
Remove strikes through the number and records why it was removed (Wrong number, Disconnected, or Manually removed). The number remains visible in the list with a strikethrough so the history is preserved.
Restore brings a removed number back if it was removed by mistake.
Make Primary sets the number as the primary for that contact, which is shown in bold. Only non-removed numbers can be made primary.
If the number format is invalid (not a 10-digit US number), the app flags it with a red strikethrough badge. Edit the number to correct it.
Fix or correct an email address
The Emails section works the same way. Each email address has a three-dot menu with Edit, Remove, Restore, and Make Primary options. Edit opens a modal where you can correct the address.
Emails removed because of a hard bounce or a spam complaint cannot be restored from the profile. Manually removed emails, unsubscribes, and repeated soft bounces have a working Restore option.
Add missing phone numbers or emails
Next to the Phone Numbers and Emails section headers there is a small plus icon. Clicking it opens an inline input field. Type the new number or address and press the checkmark button (or Enter) to save. The app checks for duplicates before saving. Press Escape to cancel without saving.
Add or fix a mailing address
The Addresses section of the contact profile has a plus icon to add a new address and a three-dot menu on each existing address to edit or remove it. Removed addresses are displayed with a strikethrough and show the removal date on hover.
Merge with a duplicate record
If the same person appears in the database more than once, merging combines the two records into one and moves all phones, emails, donations, pledges, notes, and other history onto the surviving record.
Go to the Merge Duplicates page from the main navigation. The app surfaces pairs it detected as potential duplicates. Select the two records you want to merge, choose which record to keep as the primary, and confirm. See the article on how deduplication works for details on how pairs are detected automatically.
If you spot a duplicate while on a contact's profile, you can also trigger a merge from there directly.
Mark a contact as do not contact
When you log a call interaction and set the disposition to "Do Not Contact," the app automatically flags the contact. From that point on, calling and messaging buttons on the profile are disabled. The flag appears in the interaction history with a Restore button you can use to lift it if it was set by mistake.
