Why is my Account Balance Pending?
Why is my Account Balance Pending?
Updated over a week ago

If you notice that your account balance is marked as pending, it means that the funds are currently being verified by Stripe.

Here’s a detailed explanation of why this happens and what you can expect.

Understanding Pending Balances

When you make sales or receive payments, the funds don’t instantly become available for withdrawal. Stripe needs to verify these transactions to ensure they are legitimate and secure. This verification process is a standard procedure aimed at preventing fraud and ensuring the integrity of the payment system.

Once the verification is complete and the funds are cleared, they will be moved from the pending state to your available balance. At this point, you’ll be able to see them in the 'Account Balance' section of your Rally.Fan dashboard, and the '+ Cash Out' button will become active, allowing you to withdraw your funds.

Typical Processing Time

Generally, it takes about 2 business days for funds to move from pending to available. However, in some cases, depending on various factors such as your location and the specifics of the transaction, it may take up to 7 business days for the process to complete.

Can I Speed Up the Process?

Unfortunately, there isn’t a way to expedite this process. Stripe uses a series of checks and precautions to verify transactions, which can sometimes extend the processing time. These measures are in place to protect both you and your customers from fraudulent activities, ensuring a safe and reliable payment experience.

While it can be a bit of a wait, this verification process is crucial for maintaining the security and integrity of your transactions. Rest assured, once the verification is complete, your funds will be available for cash out promptly.
