How Are Search Dates for the Rankings Breakdown Section Chosen?

Updated over 2 months ago

Rankbreeze Selected Search Dates

  1. Weekday Intervals:

    1. Check Availability: Start by identifying the first open weekday from Monday to Thursday. This is where we begin our search.

    2. Search Interval Creation: Once the first available day is found, we create a stretch of days that align with the Average Length of Stay (ALoS) setting, ensuring the days allow arrivals and departures. This stretch forms your search interval (i.e. the check-in/check-out dates we use).

  2. Weekend Intervals:

    1. Transition to Weekends: After establishing weekday intervals, we shift focus to the weekends.

    2. Selecting Days: We look at Friday or Saturday as possible starting points but never start on a Sunday. We then create a search interval (see 1b).

  3. Constraints and Stopping Conditions:

    1. Limits per Week: We allow only one weekday and one weekend interval each week.

    2. Stopping Conditions: Creation stops under one of 2 conditions:

      1. Six (6) intervals have been created or

      2. The intervals extend beyond 6 months from the starting date.
