When to invite people via invite links

Inviting users directly via an invite link is a method designed for free public programs (Memberships, newsletters), free private programs like VIP programs and paid programs built on RareCircles (via Stripe integration and NOT through Shopify).

This approach is not recommended for paid offerings due to the fact that these programs are configured as subscription products on Shopify. Customers must purchase these products directly via your e-commerce store in order to access the experience.

While you may still use these links to invite customers to your paid programs, doing so will result in an additional step (these links will automatically push customers to the program description page to checkout). Learn more about how to invite customers to paid programs built on Shopify.

Depending on the nature of the invitation, there are three links you can use to invite members to your program directly.

Three ways to invite members to your program

To access the links to your membership landing page and signup page, simply click on the Share button in the top right hand corner of your dashboard.

1. Membership landing page

URL pattern:brand-name.rarecircles.com

What it is: A page displaying your membership plan information.

Who it's for: Prospective members who don't know about your membership.

How to use it: Share with your audience to tell them about your membership offering.

Where to share it: Add it to your website (header and footer navigation, product pages). Add it to your social media profiles. Create an email launch campaign. Add it to post-purchase email flows.

2. Membership sign-up page

URL pattern:brand-name.rarecircles.com/signup

What it is: Your signup page with an email capture form granting respondents access to your membership.

Who it's for: Prospective members with high intent.

How to use it: Share in email campaigns to a highly engaged segment (VIPs, repeat customers, high spenders, etc...).

If you built your membership with the Membership Builder, you will need to share your membership pass product description page (PDP) instead of the sign-up page.

3. Activation, survey or post page

URL pattern: This link will vary. Access the specific link by clicking the share button on the relevant activation.

What it is: Activation, survey and post pages in a locked state prompting members to register to access.

Who it's for: Specific segments based on various criteria depending on the nature of the specific activation.

How to use it: Add your hero offer such as member pricing or free shipping to your website (pop-up/strip banner). Add an event page when promoting upcoming member events. Add to email campaigns destined for prospective members with personalized offers.

Note that your links will change if you add a custom domain.

How to remove members

Merchants have the ability to revoke membership at any time. Learn more about revoking portal access.
