Trim

Need to trim a portion of your video clip? We can help.

Updated over 10 months ago

The trim feature can be an absolute lifesaver and help your videos look polished and precise. ✨

Imagine this... you start your first clip walking in the front door of an apartment and knock on your elbow on the way in. This causes your stabilizer to move and now you've got a wiggle in your video. All hope is not lost! Keep recording, back it on up, and walk through that door again like the pro that you are (elbows in this time). When you get to the editing portion of your video, simply trim out the beginning few seconds of your clip and no one will be any the wiser that you ran into a door (don't worry, we've all been there). The same applies to the end of your clip, you can trim that up too!

*Please note: Use trim to remove the beginning and/or ending of a clip, not the middle. Use our cut feature, to remove the middle and keep the beginning and the ending of the clip.

*Please note that editing is only available on our app at this time.

1) Open your video up for editing by pressing the three little dots and selecting "Edit Video". Then click on the three dots of your desired clip and select "Edit Clip".

2) Tap "Trim" at the bottom of our screen. Here you can drag the thick yellow bars from the outside toward the inside of the clip replay.

3) Watch the clip a few times prior to tapping the "Confirm Trim" button. Be sure you are completely satisfied before saving as trimmed sections will not be saved.

πŸ’‘ Tip:

Prior to trimming your video clips, you can save a copy of the clip to your saved clips folder. That way if you make a mistake, you always have the full version in your back pocket. Need a refresher on how to save a clip? Here you go.
