Receptful can remember repeat visitors and provide them with a QR code via email, SMS, or the Receptful mobile app to expedite check-in.
Enable Returning Visitors
Returning Visitors can be turned on in the Settings page for each Configuration:
First Visit
When Returning Visitors is turned on, first-time visitors will be required to input their email address and answer all Required fields. They will have the option to skip Not Required fields. Their email address, Required answers, and Not Required answers will be saved to their profile.
Upon a visitor’s first time checking in with their email address, they will receive an email to create an account with Receptful:
When they click the Sign Up button, they’ll be redirected to a webpage where they’ll be asked for their email address and to create a password:
After creating and confirming their password, they’ll be redirected to their own Receptful profile with their QR code and personal information. They’ll also receive an Account Confirmation email with their individual QR code that they can use for their next check-in:
The email will also give them the option to download the Receptful app (currently only available on iOS) where they can also easily access their QR code for future visits.
Returning Visits at the iPad
When a visitor returns for their next visit, they can show their QR code to the Receptful Home Screen (where your company logo appears), and their expedited check-in process will begin. There is no pop-up window or button to press; returning visitors only need to present the QR code to the Home Screen, and the iPad camera will automatically scan it.
They can confirm their information, edit their info, or say "This Isn't Me" and start a new check-in:
If the visitor needs to quickly access their Returning Visitor QR Code, they can also send it to themself via your iPad's Home Screen by selecting the "Get Returning Visitor QR Code" button at the bottom of the Home Screen:
They will enter their phone number or email that they used when they previously checked in:
They will then receive the QR code via email or SMS message.
If they don't receive the email/SMS with their code, it likely means they're using a new email/phone number or they have not checked in using Receptful previously. They will be prompted to check in as a new visitor.
Visitor Fields
Returning Visitors will not need to answer Required visit fields (questions) they have already answered or visit fields that are not expired. They will be required to answer Always Required fields and fields that have expired.
You can update your Field Requirements via the Visit Field Features menu under Button Settings in the Configurations page (Configurations > edit Button > select a Visit Field > Features):
All visit fields except Host, as this field prompts every visit, have Required settings and can be set to expire.
