Please use a laptop or computer for this setup stage before moving on to the iPad.

Create an Apple Account on the web:

  1. Go to account.apple.com and click Create Your Apple Account.
Do not create or use a Business Apple ID, as they do not allow you to add a shipping address, which is required for app downloads.

  2. Follow the onscreen steps. The email address that you provide will be your new Apple Account; we recommend using a shared email instead of a personal one and noting the credentials somewhere your colleagues can refer to. Please keep in mind that we do not have access to your Apple ID and cannot help recover it if those credentials are lost.

  3. Enter a phone number that you can always access.

  4. If you'd like, check the boxes to subscribe to Apple Updates and click Continue.

  5. Follow the onscreen steps to verify your email address and phone number.

  6. IMPORTANT: You'll then be able to see the main account page. Click Payment Method on the left to download apps, then Add Payment Method. Fill in the billing and shipping addresses, then click update and close the window.

  7. You're now ready to launch the App Store on the iPad; search for "Receptful" and click GET. Once the download is complete, launch the app and use your QR Code or text code found under Devices -> Add Device in your Receptful account.

If you see a message that you need to sign in to iTunes, more instructions and alternative options are available on Apple's website.

For additional instructions on how to access your Receptful account and log into the iPad app, see this support article.

Receptful is an application that can only be installed on an iPad from Apple's App Store (there are no options for Android). If you run into any issues, please use the chat icon to let us know, and we can walk you through some options.
