Zapier Integration

Connect Daxko Core to Other Applications with Zapier

Zapier is an automation service that connects applications through workflows called Zaps. Each Zap begins with an event, known as a trigger, and performs one or more actions in another application.

For example, you can create a Zap that runs whenever a new member is added to Daxko Core. The Zap can then send the member’s information to Constant Contact, Mail Chimp or another email marketing application.

Getting Started

The Daxko Core integration is not listed in Zapier’s public app directory. You can create a free account with Zapier and use the link below to add the Core integration to your account.

Create API Credentials

To ensure secure integration, Zapier requires dedicated Daxko Core system credentials using the configuration below. Note: This can created by a staff member with the Manage Roles user permission.

  • Create an API User Role with the Access Core System and Use Core API permissions.

  • Create a username and password for Zapier and assign it to the API role.

    • User credentials are case-sensitive.

  • Select the additional user permissions that coincide with the intended triggers/zaps (e.g. Get Members, Terminate Unit, etc.).

NOTES

Do not use another staff member’s account or provide more access than the integration requires.

Do not grant regular staff members the Use Core API permission, as this will prevent them from logging into their standard user accounts.

Available Daxko Core Triggers (Zaps)

  • New Member

  • Updated Member

  • Disabled Member

  • New Unit

  • Terminated Unit

  • Reactivated Unit

  • Program Registration

  • Member Check-in

If you need a trigger that is not listed, contact the Daxko Core Support team in The Bubble.

Create a Zap

  • Select a Daxko Core Trigger

    • Create a new Zap and select Daxko Core as the trigger application. Then choose the event that will start the workflow, such as New Member or Program Registration.

  • Connect the Zapier User

    • Enter the credentials for the dedicated Zapier user created in Daxko Core.

  • Configure the Trigger

    • Complete the fields displayed for the selected trigger. Available options vary by trigger.

      • Be sure to enter the Association Slug. This is typically the portion of the URL that appears before .recliquecore.com when logged into Daxko Core.

Example: If the website URL is: https://example.recliquecore.com, the Association Slug is: example

Additional fields may be required depending on the trigger and how you plan to use its data.

  • Test the Trigger

    • Test the trigger to retrieve sample data from Daxko Core. Review the results to confirm that Zapier can connect successfully and that the expected information is included.

If the test is unsuccessful, verify:

  • The Zapier user’s username and password

  • The Association Slug

  • The API role and assigned capabilities

  • The trigger configuration

Contact the Daxko Core Support team if you need additional assistance.

  • Add One or More Actions

    • Choose what should happen after the trigger runs. Depending on the applications available in Zapier, actions can include:

  • Adding a contact to a mailing list

  • Sending an email or text message

  • Adding information to a spreadsheet or document

  • Updating a customer relationship management system

  • Sending data to another supported application

Follow the Zapier prompts to connect the destination application, configure the action, and test it.

Name and Publish the Zap

  • Give the Zap a clear, descriptive name. Review the workflow and test it before publishing.

  • After the Zap is published, it will run automatically whenever the selected Daxko Core trigger occurs.
