Once you have received your royalties in your balance, you have two ways to payout.

1. Royalty payments deposited directly into your bank account

2. Royalty payments sent to your PayPal account

While both methods are available in most countries, we recommend you use bank payouts as it can save you money in fees compared to PayPal. To payout via bank deposit, please visit this link.

If you would like to proceed with paying out via PayPal, here's what you need to know.

From the "Accounts" menu and click on the "Royalty recipient accounts" link. There, you could add, edit or delete your PayPal recipients. After adding/editing a recipient, please make sure to check the email account you used to login to Record Union and click on the recipient verification link included in that email. This is essential before you're able to make a payout using that recipient.

If you have not received our email in your inbox, please check your spam/junk folder as it may sometimes get redirected there.

Yes, when paying out your royalties, PayPal applies fees to your balance which includes transaction, foreign exchange and transfer fees. The final fee is displayed before you confirm the payout. 👍

Before you make a payout, please make sure your PayPal email is accurate, and your PayPal account is open and active. PayPal still charges a fee for failed payouts and whenever this happens, we can't refund the fees unfortunately.

For PayPal the general minimum royalty payout amount is $1 and the maximum is $10,000.

Before you press the Payout button – please make sure that you have added the correct billing information to your Record Union account. You can check and edit your billing and account information by going to the "Account" menu.

PayPal payouts usually take a day or two to be received.

If your payout has been pending for more than 2 days, please check your PayPal email address is correct and that your PayPal account is open, active and has no restrictions. If there are any issues with your PayPal account, please add a new PayPal email address into your account. Once you have verified this new PayPal email address, please reach out to our support team so we can cancel the pending payout. Please note that PayPal still charges fees even for unsuccessful payout attempts and we can't refund these fees.
