You can set your abandoned cart email flow to automatically send at a specific time after a customer has abandoned their cart.

Recommended times to schedule your abandoned cart recovery emails to send

The recommended times to send your abandoned cart recovery emails are as follows:

  • recovery email 1 to send 1 hour after the cart has been abandoned

  • recovery email 2 is to send 18 hours after the first email has been sent

  • recovery email 3 is to send 24 hours after the second email has been sent

These times can maximize the number of recovered checkouts for your store.


Sending Recovery Email 1

The first recovery email in the flow will prompt customers to resume their shopping. We recommend sending this email 1 hour after the cart has been abandoned for maximum effect.

Sending Recovery Email 2

Recovery email 2 is a follow-up email if the customer has not responded to your first email. We recommend sending recovery email 2, 18 hours after recovery email 1 has been sent.

💡Tip: Add some urgency to the message such as “Last to Purchase.”

Sending Recovery Email 3 [Optional]

1.If you choose to, you can add a third recovery email to send to customers. Click Enable & Customize to activate the third email.

2. Once Recovery Email 3 is enabled, we recommend sending 24 hours after Recovery Email 2 has been sent.
