In this article, we'll walk you through the process of organizing and managing tag folders in your REISift account. Tag folders are a great way to keep your property tags well-organized and easily accessible.

Tag folders can be created, edited, and deleted by clicking the Tags section on the left side bar of your account, then selecting the Property Tags tab.

Creating a New Tag Folder

By default, all existing tags are located in the default folder. To create a new tag folder, follow these simple steps:

  1. Under Property Tags, click on Create Folder.

  2. Enter the name of the new folder. Choose a descriptive name that helps you categorize your tags effectively.

  3. Click Create Folder to save the new tag folder.

Creating Tags in a Folder

Once you've created a new tag folder, you create new tags in it. Here's how:

  1. Open the folder you just created by clicking on it.

  2. Select Add New Tag and provide the name for the new tag.

  3. Click Create Tag to save the tag in the folder.

Moving Existing Tags to a Folder

If you have tags that are currently in the default folder and you want to organize them into your newly created folder or any other folder, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the default folder or the folder where the tags are currently located.

  2. Locate the tags you want to move.

  3. Click on the three dots icon next to the tag and select Move to Folder.

  4. Choose the destination folder where you want to move the tag.

Renaming or Deleting a Tag Folder

To keep your tag folders organized, you may need to rename or delete them at times. Follow these instructions:

Renaming a Folder

  1. Find the tag folder you wish to rename.

  2. Hover over the folder name, and click on the three dots icon that appears.

  3. Click on Rename Folder and enter the new name.

Deleting a Folder

  1. To delete the folder, click on Delete Folder. Please note that deleting a folder will not delete the tags within it; they will be moved to the default folder.

  2. If you choose to delete the folder, confirm your decision by typing or copying and pasting Delete Folder and then selecting Yes, delete it.
