If you're getting logged out unexpectedly mid-application, here's what to try.
Use the same device and browser
Your session is tied to your browser. Switching between phone and computer (or between browsers on the same device) can interrupt your session. Use the same device and browser throughout, when possible.
Check your private mode settings
Private or incognito mode often deletes session data when you close the tab. If you're applying in private mode and getting logged out, switch to a regular window.
Cookies and storage
Rent Butter uses browser cookies and storage to keep you signed in. If your browser is set to block all cookies, you'll be logged out repeatedly. Allow cookies for the Rent Butter domain to stay signed in.
Resume from your invite link
If you've been logged out and need to get back in, use the original invitation link the property manager sent you. You can also tap Resume existing verification on the start screen and enter your email to get a fresh link.
If it keeps happening
If you've tried the above and still get logged out, contact your property manager β they can flag it to Rent Butter to investigate.
