Invalid File Type

When trying to upload your ID, paystubs, or other documents you may receive an invalid file type error.

Please follow the steps listed below to attempt to correct the issue.


1. Verify File Type

  • Check Allowed File Types: Confirm you are uploading one of the following supported file types: .PDF, .JPG, .PNG, .GIF, .TIFF

  • File Extension Check: Ensure the file has the correct extension (e.g., “file.pdf” instead of “file” or “file.doc”).


2. Convert the File to a Compatible Format

  • Use File Conversion Tools: If the file type isn’t supported, convert it to a compatible format:

    • Built-in options (e.g., saving as PDF in Microsoft Word or exporting as PNG in graphic editors).

    • On mobile, taking a screenshot of the file will typically correct the issue

  • Save the file with the correct format and upload it again.


3. Use a Different Browser or Device

  • If the error persists, switch to another browser such as chrome or try a different device. Outdated browsers may cause compatibility issues.
