Overview
If a property is not yet ready for showings (occupied or being turned), you can set an earliest showing date in the future.
Set up a Waitlist property
On the first page of the property editing flow:
Check "Is the unit currently occupied"
Enter the Earliest move-in date
Enter the Earliest showing date
Prospects will not be able to schedule showings until on or after the earliest showing date. They’ll also see the earliest move-in date when they inquire.
How the Waitlist status works
If the earliest showing date is more than seven days away, the property will display internally as Waitlist.
Marketing remains active on all listing sites
Prospects can proactively schedule future showings
New leads are responded to and logged
Follow-ups and AI responses are turned off
Automatic transition to Available
Seven days before the Earliest showing date:
The property automatically moves to Available
RentEngine begins reaching out to help prospects schedule and following up with them
No manual update is needed to change the property status from Waitlist to Available.
When to put the property On hold
If you do not have an earliest showing date yet, you can put the property On hold (more info here)
