Overview
Accompanied showings must be confirmed, otherwise they will be auto-canceled by the system to prevent no-shows. RentEngine handles the confirmation flow, and also sends friendly reminders.
Reminders
After a showing is scheduled, the prospect will receive a reminder at:
7pm (if the showing is in the morning tomorrow)
8am (if the showing is in the afternoon)
This reminder gives them the opportunity to confirm early, or cancel if they can no longer make it.
Confirmation and auto-cancel
To prevent no-shows for accompanied showings, RentEngine will send a confirmation text message a few hours before the showing, with a link for the prospect to confirm they'll be coming.
If the prospect does not use the link to confirm, and the showing agent doesn't confirm for the prospect, the showing will be auto-canceled.
The exact timing of the confirmation message and auto-cancellation can be managed in your company showing settings.
How to confirm a showing manually
If the prospect has not confirmed using the link sent to them, the showing agent can confirm the showing on their behalf in RentEngine:
Find their showing in the Showing Calendar tab
Click the Confirm Showing button
