Overview
Stripe setup lets your practice securely accept payments and get fast, reliable payouts through Stripe Connect. It also powers RepeatMD features like in‑app checkouts, memberships, and financing, so renewals and payouts run smoothly without extra work for your team.
How to set up
When you receive your Stripe Setup link from RepeatMD, you’ll use it to create and verify your Stripe account so you can start receiving payments from transactions in your app. This guide will walk you through each step of the setup process.
Step 1: Open Your Stripe Setup Link
Click the setup link provided by RepeatMD.
Enter the email address you want to use as your primary Stripe login.
Note: Use an email you regularly check. Stripe will send important account and payout notifications to this address.
3.Enter your phone number to enable two-factor authentication (2FA).
Stripe will send a 6-digit code to this number.
Enter the code to confirm your login.
Tip: This phone number doesn’t have to be the same as your business phone. It just needs to be a secure number you always have access to.
Step 2: Verify Business Type
After login, Stripe will prompt you to complete your personal details.
At the top of the screen, use the dropdown menu to select Business Type.
Choose the option that best fits your practice:
Individual / Sole Proprietorship
Single Member LLC
Multi-Member LLC
Private Corporation
Note: Most clients fall under Single Member LLC or Sole Proprietorship. If you’re unsure which category applies to you, check with your accountant or legal advisor.
Step 3: Add Business Details
Stripe will now ask for more information about your business:
Legal business name (as filed for your EIN).
Doing Business As (DBA) name (optional).
EIN (Employer Identification Number).
Business address.
Industry type: search for “Medical” or “Dental,” or scroll to find the best fit.
Business website: enter your practice’s site URL.
Tip: If you don’t have a business website, you can provide your RepeatMD app link.
Step 4: Add Business Representative Information
Next, Stripe requires details for a business owner or representative:
Legal first and last name.
Personal email address.
Date of birth.
Home address.
Personal phone number.
Last 4 digits of Social Security Number (U.S. only).
Note: This information is required by Stripe to comply with federal “Know Your Customer” (KYC) regulations.
Step 5: Connect Your Bank Account
To receive payouts, you’ll need to connect a bank account (recommended) or debit card.
Bank Account (recommended):
More reliable since accounts don’t expire, get lost, or stolen.
Enter your routing number, account number, and confirm the account number.
Debit Card (optional):
Can be used, but may experience payout delays.
Tip: For fewer payout interruptions, always connect a bank account instead of a debit card.
You can either:
Select your bank from Stripe’s list and log in with your online banking credentials, or
Enter bank details manually.
Step 6: Review & Submit
Review the following sections carefully:
Business Type
Business Details
Public Details (this is what will appear on your patients’ bank statements)
Management & Ownership
Edit any incomplete or incorrect fields.
Items marked “Incomplete” must be resolved.
Items marked “Verifying” are still being processed by Stripe.
Agree to Stripe’s Terms of Service and click Submit.
Step 7: Confirmation
Once submitted, Stripe will begin the verification process.
You’ll see a confirmation screen stating your information has been submitted.
Verification may take some time — Stripe will notify you if additional documentation is needed.
Note: Most verifications clear within 24–48 hours. Stripe may request additional documents before payouts are enabled.
