Watch the video to see how Beauty Banks works for you and your patients:
Overview
Beauty Bank is a membership-based feature inside RepeatMD that converts monthly patient contributions into RepeatCash, stored value patients redeem on eligible treatments when they are ready. Instead of locking patients into fixed monthly services, Beauty Bank encourages saving toward higher-ticket treatments while giving practices predictable recurring revenue.
This article is for practice owners, managers, and marketers evaluating or explaining Beauty Bank to staff and patients.
Before You Start
Beauty Bank is a membership-based feature that uses RepeatCash (or, in some configurations, quantity-based credits).
It can run on its own or alongside traditional included-treatment memberships.
Availability depends on your RepeatMD plan tier (see Platform availability below).
Beauty Bank focuses on stored value, not percentage discounts.
What Is Beauty Bank?
Beauty Bank transforms monthly patient contributions into RepeatCash in the patient’s Wallet. Patients maintain full control over when and how they spend, while your practice benefits from:
Predictable, recurring income
Larger purchases over time as patients save
Stronger retention and loyalty
Margin protection without deep discounting
How It Works
Patients contribute a set amount each month as part of a membership.
Contributions convert into RepeatCash in the patient’s Wallet after successful payment.
Patients redeem stored value on eligible treatments in the Patient App.
Balances and usage update in real time in the Wallet tab.
Practices configure eligible treatments, contribution amounts, and expiration rules in the Admin Panel.
Beauty Bank vs. traditional memberships
Feature | Beauty Bank | Traditional memberships |
Revenue model | Stored value (RepeatCash) | Fixed monthly services |
Flexibility | Patients choose when and how to spend | Pre-defined included services |
Transparency | Real-time balance in Wallet | Limited visibility into unused value |
Usage | Broad treatment eligibility (configurable) | Restricted to included services |
Patient behavior | Encourages saving for higher-ticket treatments | Encourages routine visits |
Business impact | Reduces reliance on discounts | Guarantees recurring service delivery |
Many practices run Beauty Bank, traditional memberships, or both based on patient preferences and business goals.
Managing Beauty Bank settings for archived memberships
When a membership is archived, it is unavailable for new enrollments. Existing members on legacy versions may retain their original Beauty Bank configuration.
Admins can review archived membership settings from the Memberships page to confirm they align with current business goals before reactivating or replacing a program.

Best Practices for Maximizing Beauty Bank
Introduce Beauty Bank during consultations and explain it as stored value, not a discount.
Train front desk and providers to walk patients through the Wallet balance.
Promote memberships across email, SMS, and in-office signage.
Use bonus RepeatCash or sign-up incentives to drive enrollments.
Review RepeatCash reporting monthly to optimize contribution levels.
Periodically audit archived membership configurations so legacy programs match current goals.
Common Mistakes and FAQs
Q: What happens to existing credits when transitioning from QTY credits to RepeatCash?
A: Existing QTY credits are not automatically converted into RepeatCash. Only new contributions after the transition appear as a monetary balance.
Q: How do I manage Beauty Bank settings for archived memberships?
A: Open Memberships in the Admin Panel, go to the Archived tab, select the membership, and review or edit settings. Changes to archived programs affect legacy members differently than new enrollments; see Edit a membership (Admin Panel).
Q: Can patients withdraw or refund RepeatCash?
A: No. RepeatCash is non-refundable but can be redeemed for eligible in-app treatments.
Q: Can I offer multiple Beauty Bank tiers?
A: Yes. Create multiple memberships with different contribution levels.
Q: Can I control which services RepeatCash can be used on?
A: Yes. Treatment eligibility is fully configurable during setup.
Q: Do patients see their balance in real time?
A: Yes. Balances and usage are visible in the Patient App Wallet.
