This article shows you how to add a sign-up bonus to a membership in your Admin Panel. It’s designed for practice owners, managers, and admins who want to incentivize new enrollments by offering an immediate, redeemable bonus when a patient joins a membership.
Before You Start
You must have Admin access to manage memberships.
Sign-up bonuses can be added to new or existing memberships.
Sign-up bonuses are compatible with:
Flexible billing memberships
Beauty Bank memberships
Sign-up bonuses stack with monthly redeemables if both are included.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Add a sign-up bonus to a membership
Log in to your Admin Panel.
Go to App Builder > Memberships.
Create a new membership or edit an existing one.
Click + Select your sign-up bonus.
Enter a Bonus Description (this is visible to patients).
Choose how the bonus is redeemed:
Include All – the member receives all included treatments.
Choose From – the member selects from a list of treatments.
If Choose From is selected, choose how many treatments the member can redeem.
Add treatments to the sign-up bonus:
Search for and select an existing treatment.
Enter the quantity the member will receive.
(Optional) Click Add another treatment to include additional options.
Remove any treatment using the trash icon.
Click Save and add to Membership.
Add a sign-up bonus item that isn’t in your shop
If you want to include something not sold in your shop (such as retail or skincare):
Click Select a treatment, then choose + Create a new treatment.
Enter the required details.
Click Save and add to membership treatments.
Note: This creates a membership-only item
How It Works
Sign-up bonuses unlock immediately when a patient enrolls.
Once earned, sign-up bonuses never expire.
Patients can redeem sign-up bonuses even if they cancel their membership, since the bonus was earned at sign-up.
Sign-up bonuses appear in the patient’s Wallet in the app.
Sign-up bonuses stack with monthly redeemables when both are included.
Sign-up bonuses do not affect membership billing cadence or pricing.

Editing Sign-Up Bonuses
Sign-up bonuses can be edited even when a membership has active members.
When editing, admins can choose:
Edit for New & Existing Members – changes apply to everyone.
Edit for New Members Only – changes apply only to future enrollments.

No. Sign-up bonuses never expire once earned.
What happens if a patient cancels their membership?
Patients can still redeem their sign-up bonus after cancellation.

Can sign-up bonuses be used with Beauty Bank or flexible billing?
