Yes. Although Restor is a platform born out of an ecological science lab, we fully believe that long-term restoration success depends on social and economic dynamics.
You can now add socio-economic and governance data directly to your organization and site profiles. When editing your organization profile, select the Socio-economic tab to add details across three key areas:
Socio-economic Impact: Outline the socio-economic outcomes your work supports and specify which community beneficiary groups are impacted.
Workforce Composition: Share what types of roles exist within your team and the size of your total workforce.
Governance: Provide transparency around decision-making by sharing your organization's annual budget, which groups are consulted in project decisions, and who holds final approval authority.
We are also continuously working on globally available, socially relevant map layers and collaborating with social scientists to identify emerging global datasets of social and economic data relevant to restoration and conservation activities. However, the most valuable social information will always come from what users like you provide on their profiles.
To add this information, open your organization profile, click Edit, navigate to Socio-economic in the left-hand menu, and hit Save once completed.
