Restor allows organizations to share socio-economic information as part of their public profile. This data helps the community understand the broader human impact of your conservation and restoration work - including who benefits, how your team is composed, and how your organization is governed. This article walks you through how to add and save this information.
💡 Note: Socio-economic data you enter is publicly visible to anyone who visits your organization profile on Restor.
Before You Begin
To add socio-economic data, you will need:
An existing organization profile on Restor
Admin or editor access to that organization
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Open Your Organization Profile
Navigate to your organization profile on Restor. You can find it via the search bar or your account menu. Once on the profile page, locate the Management tools panel on the left-hand side.
Step 2: Navigate to the Socio-economic Section
The organization editor has a left-hand navigation menu with several sections such as General information, Contact, Social media, and more.
Step 3: Fill In the Socio-economic Fields
The socio-economic form is divided into three main sections. For each field, click the dropdown to select all applicable options.
Socio-economic Impact

Step 4: Save Your Changes
Once you have filled in all the relevant fields:
Scroll to the bottom of the page.
Click the yellow Save button.
Your socio-economic data will be saved and immediately visible on your public organization profile.
Viewing Your Socio-economic Data
After saving, you can view how your data is presented to the public:
Return to your organization profile.
Click the People tab in the navigation menu on the profile page.
Here you will find visualizations of your workforce and community data, including role types, workforce size, employment types, and contract types.
Data Privacy and Visibility
💡 Note: All socio-economic data entered on your organization profile is publicly visible on Restor. Anyone who visits your profile page will be able to see this information. Only share data your organization is comfortable making public.
Self-reported Data at the Site Level
In addition to organization-level socio-economic data, Restor also allows you to add self-reported metrics at the site level. This includes nature metrics as well as socio-economic indicators such as the number of community members trained and the number of community beneficiaries impacted by your project. Frequently Asked Questions
Can I update my socio-economic data later?
Yes. Return to the Edit organization screen at any time, navigate to the Socio-economic section, make your changes, and click Save.
Do I have to fill in every field?
No. All fields are optional. You can fill in as many or as few as are relevant to your organization.
Who can edit the socio-economic data?
Any user with admin or editor access to the organization on Restor can add or update this information.
