Where do I Find my Contacts?

You can find your contacts in two places: directly inside your Retention.com account, and in your connected email platform.


Finding contacts in your Retention.com account

The fastest way to see your contacts is right in the Retention.com app.

On the Home Page, just below the graph showing your total contact count, you'll see a list of your identified contacts. For each contact, you can see:

  • Their email address

  • The page they first visited (their entry URL)

Contacts are also sent to your connected email platform automatically once your setup is complete and your script is active.

It may take a short amount of time before your first contacts appear there.


Where to look in your email platform

Contacts will appear in a list in your email platform based on how your integration is set up.


How syncing works

We use your email platform in two ways:

  • To send new contacts to your account

  • To check what contacts you already have

As new contacts are identified on your site, they are sent to your email platform automatically.

No manual action is required.


What happens to contacts you already have

If a contact already exists in your email platform, they will not be added again.

This helps ensure you don't pay for contacts you already have.


What to expect

  • Contacts will start appearing after setup is complete

  • It may take a short time before the first contacts show up

  • Volume will vary depending on your traffic

  • Not every contact will engage right away

This is normal and improves over time as you continue sending.


Confirming your email platform destination

During setup, you choose where contacts should be added in your email platform. In most cases, this will be a list.

How to confirm everything is working

You'll know everything is set up correctly when:

  • Contacts begin appearing in your Retention.com Home Page

  • New contacts start showing up in your email platform

  • Your contact count increases over time
