Before you begin
In Klaviyo, you should see:
Retention list (where all contacts live)
Warm [Retention] segment
Cold [Retention] segment
All contacts are added to the Retention list.
Segments determine who you actually send to.
Step 1: Confirm this is the right fit
Use Blended if:
You send 3+ campaigns per week
You want contacts included in your existing sends

Step 2: Add contacts to your campaigns
When scheduling future campaigns:
In the Send to audience, include the Warm [Retention] segment
In the Don't send to audience, include the Cold [Retention] segment
This ensures contacts are included safely while protecting performance.
Do not send these contacts separate campaigns. Instead, include them in the same campaigns as your existing audience.
