Overview:
Mitigate returns fraud by blocking specific orders from being returned. ReturnLogic offers you the ability to prevent customers from returning specific orders through your returns portal.
As of October 2024, this feature is only available to Shopify Merchants.
How to enable Blocked Order Tags:
Create an Order Tag(s) in Shopify and apply the tag to the order you'd like to prevent return requests for.
Add your Order Tag in your Blocked Order Tags setting, found in your General Policies settings.
βSave and Publish your settings
If you'd like to customize the language your customers see when trying to return a blocked order you can do so in your Customize Settings.
What does Blocking an Order do?
Customers who are associated with a Blocked Order Tagging will not be eligible for a return and will be unable to create a return through your Returns Portal. Orders associated with a Blocked Order Tag will also not be eligible for a gift return.
If a customer uses their email address associated with their Blocked Order Tag they will not be able to submit a Third Party Warranty Claim.
Can I override this setting?
Yes! You can choose to override this for a shopper by using Create RMA. Learn more about Create RMA here.
Please note, since Create RMA allows you to override all settings you will not see any alerts about blocked orders in the Create RMA workflow.
We're here to help! Email us at support@returnlogic.com or use the live chat inside the platform with any questions or feedback.
