To get your ALOHA® texting features approved, you need a Terms & Conditions page on your website. This guide explains exactly what this document must say and provides a template you can copy and paste to get compliant quickly.

✨ When You Need This Guide

This guide is helpful if you are setting up your texting registration and need to:

  • Create a "Terms & Conditions" page for your website.

  • Understand the specific rules for sending business text messages (10DLC).

  • Find a template that includes the required legal language for messaging.

What This Covers (And What It Doesn't)

  • ✅ It covers the specific information and exact wording required for your Terms & Conditions page to pass texting registration.

  • ❌ It does not cover how to create a Privacy Policy (which must be a separate page linked within your Terms & Conditions).

You'll Need:

  • Your practice's official name and phone number.

  • The link (URL) to your Privacy Policy page.

  • Access to your website editor to create a new page or edit your current Terms.

✅ Building Your Terms & Conditions Page

To get approved quickly, your page must include these eight specific points:

  1. Your Office Name: Clearly state who is sending the messages.

  2. Types of Messages: List what you send (e.g., appointment reminders, account notifications).

  3. Message Frequency: State how often they will hear from you (e.g., "Message frequency varies").

  4. Rate Disclosure: You must say: "Message and data rates may apply".

  5. Privacy Policy Link: A direct link to your separate Privacy Policy page.

  6. Support Info: Instructions to text HELP or call your number for assistance.

  7. Opt-Out Info: Clear instructions to text STOP to cancel messages.

  8. Consent: A statement that they agree to these terms.

✅ Recommended Template

You can use the text below as a starting point. If you do not have a Terms & Conditions page yet, you can use this template to create a new one. If you already have a Terms & Conditions page, simply add the text below to the bottom of your existing page.

Important: Fill in the bracketed information (like [Company Name]) with your actual business details.

I don't know what "10DLC" means.

10DLC (10-Digit Long Code) is the U.S. standard for business texting to prevent spam.

You must register your brand and campaign to ensure your messages are delivered.

I don't have a Privacy Policy link.

A separate Privacy Policy is required to explain how you protect data.

Create a Privacy Policy page first, then paste that link into your Terms & Conditions.

My registration is delayed.

Your Terms & Conditions might be missing one of the 8 required items listed above.

Double-check that you included every one of the required components.

🎉 You'll Know It's Right When

  • Your Terms & Conditions page is live on your website.
